Josko is defending himself when he feels attacked, just as anyone else would. Rodion is correct that people are going to be much more quick to jump on Josko for anything he says because of his current image. What is really needed is an image consultant to augment the current Josko image. There are quite a few people in clans who have changed their image for the better over time, so it is possible that all this can be put behind us, but it does/will take time. If Josko wants to change the perception of him by certain members of the community, he can do so by being less active in debates in the forums and being humble when he does speak. Other comments should be like those Comic suggested, "good game, well played" and such. Now, it's kind of a raw deal for Josko because it would mean suppressing his thoughts at times, but it can be done. One slip up and the everything reverts to old times, so it will be tough as well. I don't think Josko has ever intended to be a dick to anyone, but the sheer volume of comments make it seem that way.

Rodion wrote:Come on, this Josko bashing party is getting ridiculous. The idea that Josko discredit others for their wins is easy to come up with when people take all his compliments and spin them into backhanded ones. It also appears Josko's remarks are the only ones that interpretors tend to spin into something bad, even though some from THOTA could be just as easily spun. As an example I could mention one that was posted 2 pages ago stating we used up all our miracles in batch 1. The idea that we only managed to open a 13-7 lead due to using all our "miracle credits" could be offending at the very least, yet nobody questioned the person's sportsmanship/politeness/elegance. While I personally can understand that that comment might not have been ill-natured, the fact is it could have been easily perceived as such by several people, yet nobody was here to bash. That's what you native english speakers would call "two weights and two measures" and it leads me to the conclusion that big part of the reason why Josko is not seen as a people's favorite from the PR standpoint is the way you incessantly try to throw mud at his name.

Because josko cannot joke.

This is completely incorrect. The mature reaction would be to brush it off and realise it's an online game with comments from online posters. The problem is that you don't seem to be able to realise that your inability to behave like an adult is fuelling the antagonism towards you and that includes your own clan.

The simplest solution for you to stop posting when someone has annoyed you- that then puts you on the higher ground.
This way you don't force people to leap to your defence like a possessive parent would of their attention-seeking child.

this is right chipv, the main problem is that i like to discuss and dont brush off anything. for me, everything needs to be solved, and not let it go without clarifyng. that is just my (bad) characteristic, and I dont like that my characteristic. sometimes life would be easier if I just left some thing go without looking back at it.

Rodion,
I can handle the shot. But here is my question, if this guy continues to say things with the reputation he has, then why cant he learn to close his mouth?
In addition, if the need arises to open it, things like "good game, you played very well" so something other than "good game, your dice helped you in this one" doesnt get blown out of proportion.

Thats all.

I can't answer that for him, but I guess he already did in the beginning of page 33.

CoF, I understood how comments about luck (and the "don't mention luck because you made mistakes" reply - or the "don't mention luck because you're luckier") transformed a friendly challenge into a hostile one. I honestly prefer not to go to the root of that hostility or judge who should take the blame for that and to what extent. The point is that hostility is blowing everything Josko says out of proportion (take the Senate congratulations argument for example). He congratulated THOTA for the win and was immediately treated like a monster because of that subtle "10%" thing. Try to think how things would have unfolded if you had lost and said something like he did ("that 10% attack really sucked for us, but props to you for pulling that tactic"). My guess is no drama would have surfaced. It was the fact that it was written by Josko that made people want to see a hidden backhanded meaning in his words.

I think we can cut most of the clan animosity if you (now I'm talking to everyone) just give him the benefit of the doubt (something my country gives to anyone, even people that were formerly convicted by the same crime under analysis) the next time (if) he makes a public comment. I think it's the simple and right thing to do and I honestly think I'm not asking too much. ;)

Hi Masli, we should be able to send you ours tonight, our apologies, we have been very busy, some of it is life outside of CC if you can believe it.
