Are you going to procrastrinate? Fix it now and have it ready before the deadline
Ours are already decided. We're playing all 9 maps on Battle for Iraq! Our guys are still on suicide watch from those games in our challenge.
You're expecting us to choose Iraq... aren't you?
They still can't get over that on one of our best maps (which we almost never lose) you and Eyestone, who had never played it before, swept them out of it.
Not entirely correct. I had played it twice before I chose it as home map on the 1vs1 as I found it a one of few maps that wasn't entirely decided after the drop. I then learned a few moves while playing mkcummins but still won almost all of the games as I got to start almost all of them (he had also chosen it as home map) so when we got to the dubs and trips I had developed a good strategy so I was able to lead Namor and Angola in the rest of the games. Now it is propably my favourite map - at least top 3
Edit: Angola was the third for the trips. Myrelock teamed up in a dubs.

Could be, though with a 20 terr start that's a 6 deploy which, making 6 x 4s, could easily drop the oppo <18 and facing a turn where his opponent has 23+ terrs. Thing is in Checkers one is going to go straight for the oppo, not a neut 3, so going first is a huge advantage. In Iraq there's the risk/reward of taking the neut 1s on the Baathists, so most first moves target bonuses rather than oppo 3s. This is why it makes for a more interesting and less dice-dependent game.

Yep, but then I think that might have been lost on everybody lol. There are dozens of maps worse than Checkers for 1v1 so I'm not sure why you chose that in particular.

dunno. was just asking the same thing of the good folks at TSM as we try to establish a date for game exchange. JPC needs to assert some authority here and say what needs to be done, by whom, and by when. the question has been hanging in the air for a while now.

A new set of privileges has been setup and links to the main thread for the playoffs. Games are due by the 29th but it appears that most are ready. The extra random should be created by the 2nd place teams.
9. Playoffs and relegation will be a 8Q-7T-4D with each side choosing 4Q-3T-2D as described below as the regular season format. The additional triples map will be Random-Esc-Chained-Sunny.

Why not twice in the same week? If one haven't used one map at all one should be allowed to use it thrice (Thank you Conan O'Brien) in one week if one really wants to. I'm speaking theoretically here. We won't plan to do this until the finals We're going to pick 3 maps and play only them
