Incandenza wrote:The second team to join a fog game, if they have the first turn, must hold their attack for 12 hours or until a member of the opposing team alerts them that they got their snapshot. In the event that the 12-hour rule is breached, it is the responsibility of the offending team to provide their opponents with placement information that would have been readily apparent on the original map setup. Note that this does not necessarily include attack information.

I think this rule has a big hole, which is that you can never be sure which team joined the first and which team joined the second. I know in general home team need to join games the first but game 8293276 proves that it is not always like that, there away slots are already filled and home slots are not. after that game (and every other game) starts nobody can have strong evidence which team joined second in a game, so I think it is huge hole in this rule.

Just do the smart thing... wait 12 hours regardless, unless there is a go from both sides.

I know, I always wait, no matter standard or clan or whatever game. but not everyone always wait.

I just wanted to say, if something needs to be clarified like a rule, it should be clarified without loopholes.

Sooooo entertainingly, the game cited by josko is, in fact, a sunny game. Certainly there are rare times when the home team is the second to join a foggy game, but citing a sunny game is a bit weird. Personally, I think you guys might want to focus on actually having players around for their first turns, rather than foggy chimeras.

You'll find most of his arguments fail to stand up to any scrutiny.

GL with the comeback, THOTA - hopefully we can watch a close fought finish.

8293276 = sunny ;) by sjnap on Yesterday, 10:35

I know, but if there can happen that away team joins the first, then also in some foggy game it can happen. by josko.ri
on Yesterday, 13:10

As you can see he knew it. He was only giving an example. So please dont try to be a smart...
it should be clarified without loopholes ; thats what josko is saying.

So please dont try to do what that other clan was doing to him or us. Keep it civil and with respect.

Btw, how can we focus on our first turn if nobody joins that game ?

...josko is so dumb so he didnt realized it is sunny game, isnt it?
the sjnap's quotes are from mine and his wall, so you may check it was written before your post Inca, so I had known very well it is sunny ;)

I wanted to show it can happen that home team joins second. if it can happen in sunny game, it can also happen in foggy game. and then the rule has a big loophole, as it cannot be said for sure which team joins the first (it is not written anywhere in log). it is no matter is it rare or often, but the fact it may happen and nobody can prove who joined the first and second, makes the rule without real sense.

sjnap wrote:So please dont try to do what that other clan was doing to him or us. Keep it civil and with respect.

so, instead of writing ironic post to answer on argumented post, you may rather focus on declaring rules without loopholes ;)

Game 8293310 btw, 12 hour rule is broken in this game

If you'd actually talk to your clan leader, you'd know that I told masli like two weeks ago that I personally would be joining games late, since I'm currently on vacation. I prefer to take my own first turns. I know that's a revolutionary concept that you guys might want to look into.

josko.ri wrote:Game 8293310 btw, 12 hour rule is broken in this game

Now I know you're being a dick, since A) the 12-hour rule cannot be broken by the first team to join the game, by very definition, and B) even if he did, it was by less than 10 minutes. Dunno why you're trying to stir things up with spurious allegations, especially when you've got such a heavy game load. Must be tough playing all your games and various other accounts' games as well.

that is definition which has big loophole, like I said before, and you didnt say any argument against that.

also, that rule has other one big loophole. for example, in supermax, hive, conquerman etc, it does not exist snapshot in chat option. as I think everyone has right to see the map before game start, then we have to allow EVERY player to take snapshot. so, second team who join have to be online at the same time if they all want to take snapshot, and it is not always possible due to different timezones of players. so, if only one player from second joined team is able to take snapshot (because for the others of his team joining time may be night time, and the first team may play turn immediately), that is other one loophole of that rule.

just wanted to say, I expect to have rules without loopholes, if we use non-official rules.

Sorry about that - I didn't think I needed to honor the 12-hour rule, as we were the first team to join.

It's too bad I didn't wait 10 more minutes; if I had, the three of you could have each gotten your snaps.

As a side note, what is this bullshit about no snaps in Supermax? I mean, sometimes I can take 'em and sometimes I can't. Weird.

I am sure that later I will be guilty for rude behaviour, after tried on very civilized way to show the rule has loopholes, and first got ironical response and then being called dick.

actually now I see you didnt break current rule, as you were the first joined team, but I am showing that is rule with loopholes, and still didnt read an argument against my showing.

honestly, i took snapshot in supermax so it is not problem but not sure if others took it, and snapshot in chat doesnt exist there.

Thanks for making me snort my coffee!

The 12 Hour rule has been in effect and honoured for ages now - there's really no need for any further clarification. As for some team members not getting snaps while one team member can - well there are a multitude of ways to get around that (e.g. post an image of the map on any of the multitude of free hosting sites).

p.s. Go THOTA !!!

Doesn't always work. Of course, snapshots were around for a long time before that option. What so ever did we do then...oh yeah, the person who took the snap stated where things were for their teammate.

Too late. At least you were able to come back and apologize for starting more shit after you realized you were wrong. That's progress. Maybe KORT can enforce the "don't let Josko post" un-official rule so this doesn't turn into the same thing as the KORT-TOFU thread, which it seems like it's well on the way to doing.
