It is probably way too late to change anything, and I haven't even read this whole thread, but did anyone mention that "Western Samoa" is not the name of those islands? They are simply called Samoa or Independent Samoa.
As someone who has visited there multiple times, the locals don't really like being called "Western Samoa", because what are they western to? American Samoa? Since they are the independent country, shouldn't American Samoa then be called Eastern Samoa?
I know its nitpicky and too late, but I love all of Samoa and I love this Oceania map (one of my faves) but I can't help but type this.
