did use ever make that option that let u block all low rated players??
There is no way that I am going to "put it to a vote". Conquer Club has, and will always be, firmly against this kind of rank segregation.

Re: Let newbies protect temselves from farming with Rank Fil
So.. let me get this straight... Some People are deliberately Foeing players not for valid reasons but to keep them from joining games where they would be competition for the points? Did I read that right??? And if so... Is not that one of the worst forms of Poor and UN-Sportsmanlike Conduct??? Is that not just plain outright Cowerdice???
Right now someone on this very board has Foed Me... and for no apparent reason that i can tell... other than that i beat her in two games on Feudal recently...
If that is the reason TEZU did this.. then let her colors be shown.. and if not.. She needs to Speak up...
There is a time for Foe'ing... When People swearing like sailors, threatening people and getting ignorant etc and in those cases I strongly feel that they should be silenced... Certainly... CC players need some recourse and defense against that sort of junk... But to foe someone for winning a game or two too many... and not telling that person... or giving them the chance to speak about it is just plain WRONG.

I would like to see one option only.... It would say players with less than 1000 points only... this is the only way this could ever work!
Limit Opponents to +/- 300 points.
This ensures you play someone of your own level, making games more fun. In multi player games the +/- 300 would be from the highest and lowest graded players already in the game. This does not stop players working up their grading.

Too bad that [player]Blitzaholic[/player] can only play 3 player games if this was ever implemented.

Re: Limit Opponents to +/- 300 points.
why should you HAVE to set private games up. Personally I suggested something similar a while back where if you wish you could set a level for games. This would maybe stop the high rankers constantly joining cooks/cadets games. I mean how is that giving anything to new starters. If say a cook wants to play a high ranked player he can set it high if not he can set it low. It would then be up to the player setting up the game. A very good idea i think

What about a modification to this idea that allows you to choose a radius of ratings centered at your own that can join your game? That is, you select X as the number of points, and if Y is your score, then only players with ratings of Y-X through Y+X may join your game? This would make it impossible to farm.

Re: Limit Opponents to +/- 300 points.
This particular suggestion will never work, as it would ruin tournaments, clan games, and absolutely make it near impossible for high ranking players or low ranking players to get into games. Speed freestyle games would BARELY ever get going, as you'd have to hope someone near your rank is online. And 8 man games would be a pain to get started.

Sorry, but this has too many flaws to be considered. Rejected
On another note, hmsps, you can bring your thread up again, and see if their are other opinions this time around.

Let's say I'm a cadet, so I'll set up a game in which the only ranks allowed are cooks through privates, how do you think a high ranking player is going to target me?
Simple solution...restrict filtering to levels equal to or greater than the players rating
I would love this because I want to filter OUT noobs.
Noobs would love this because they could filter IN noobs
Set up games in such a way to stop high rankers reverse farm
Please see C & A report recently re Crash_22 and alstergren
Set up games in such a way such as point related to stop a) high raking players joining your games i.e. reverse farming such as the 2 named above (there are many others) and also so higher ranking players could stop lower ranking players joining if they should wish because many deadbeat etc. This would be entirely optional to the person setting up the games. Please do not suggest you can set up private games as many like myself like to play new peopleb]
[b]In the main this would stop certain people keeping up their ranks by joining low ranked players game to basically farm them. The low ranked players could play people around their skill level at first to a build up their confidence and there skills and it would enhance their experience on the site overall. :

Re: Let newbies protect temselves from farming with Rank Fil
hey I wanna farm... this suggestion sucks
seriously, you are suggesting something to protect you from noobs not the opposite....
segregation really sucks sir... I decline 99% of the invitations to 6-8 players escalating games because I don't like this shit of sticking to the same people for the sake of a virtual online score,,,
trust me sir... to be open for all is really fun

Rank filter selection for people who could join games?
As title
Allow a filter tool to only allow certain ranks to join games.
This will benefit the community because higher/lower rank players don't really want to play lower/higher rank players who sometimes make irrational decisions on certain settings. I personally cannot do private games due to being a freemium so i have to accept all players. However, some players (those less than 1400) don't really know what they are doing so it's not benefitting them to play against me and they make stupid plays that may cause me to lose 40+ per game.
This is also beneficial to lower rank players to have a rank cap on who can join their games to prevent farmers and they can play among their skill level. Higher levels tend to have that as well, but they tend to use the private invite system which sadly freemiums cannot do.

Rank Filter
I can't figure out why the site wouldn't implement a rank filter, as I see it on so many other game sites, whether it be cards or otherwise.
A simple game setting when a game is being set up where one can set the lowest rank they will allow to join the game. Not only is it really annoying for a higher rank to lose 50-100 points to a low rank, but I have found that often times when I play a cook or something similar the game just isn't enjoyable even if I win it (and gain 5 points).
Of course there are exceptions to that rule and there could be an option to not rank filter the game as well.
There are times I want to play a 1v1 speed but won't because I don't want to lose a million points, but even more importantly, I want to play a higher rank because its usually more enjoyable from a strategy standpoint.
This really isn't a hard thing to do from a programming standpoint.

The reason has nothing at all to do with programming. The reason is that the site stubbornly and irrationally holds on to the idea that if they were to do so, it would cause all of the new players to have nobody to play against...which is an idea that is patently absurd on the face of it.
That aside, there are even better ways to accomplish the same idea, but not using rank. Instead, use points and allow the settings to be "ranged" by a certain percentage above or below the game-creator's rank at the time the game is created (the specific range to be used to be figured out by someone much more intelligent on the math than myself).

What TFO said. How many more times will people have to be told that rank segregation of any kind is not going to happen. Rejected.
