Good luck to both sides, and full support behind TOFU accepting this challenge. When we accepted AOC and Nemesis they were new and unproven (2 challenges each against lower level clans) and people laughed. After our challenge, they both jumped up into the upper levels. The only way to get better is to play those above you. Nothing but respect for T4C for a bold challenge.

Well, that's not quite right. We had just ended a 40 game challenge against Mythology 20-20, and we rocked our division in the Clan League when we accepted your invite to play against Empire. I would hardly say that we were unproven. Not super experienced, but there's a huge difference between our position and this one.
I'm really excited about this challenge. I think this is great for everyone involved. Period. I'm absolutely flummoxed that anyone in the Clan World could see this as a negative.
And the Clan World can take the new medal off the table for TOFU in this challenge if that's such a huge issue. I couldn't care any less than I do.
Good luck T4C, I'm looking forward to getting to know you in The Pit. Which for me is always the bottom line.

Clan league you wasn't going on yet. You weren't in Season 1 (to my recollection), and in Season 2 you were in the bottom bracket. Yes, you tied Myth, but they were far below where they are now. They were around a mid-ranked mid level clan. They too have improved a lot in the last year +
Sorry to hijack the thread for a moment. On with the war.

I'm not saying we were world champions, but we had some results. You started off saying we had only played low level clans, and now you say yourself that Mythology was mid-level. I believe Mythology was ranked like 15-16 at the time we played them and you guys were maybe 7-8 spots higher. And even though we faced the lower ranked clans in the CL2, we beat all our opponents quite well, not losing any of the individual weeks.
I don't like hijacking the thread either but I don't like you giving what I percieve as a wrong picture of the situation. We were grateful for the opportunity to play against a clan like Empire, but we were not unproven... that's all I'm saying.
Nice to have the input of several members of The Fourth Crusade (T4C). Welcome guys - and look forward to getting to know you in the games and in this thread.
Idle question....what do you refer to your members as? Crusaders? It's rather neat actually and I'm surprised that moniker hasn't been previously used.
Re the medal issue - it was never even a consideration when we decided to accept this challenge. Come to think of it there has been no discussion of medals in our clan forum whatsoever since they were distributed a week or two ago - it's simply something none of us in TOFU go on a quest for and we're each quite happy bumbling along and having the odd one drop in our mailbox from time-to-time. That said, I'm not going to step back if someone's about to pin one on my jacket. To not qualify this challenge as medal-worthy immediately denies T4C the opportunity to win one, which seems rather unfair to them don't you think?
T4C to win it 26-24
Highest position #5 (18 Nov 2010) General 4,380pts (11 Dec 2010)

Heh. I was thinking the same thing. But I believe what CoF was speaking of was with regard to the clan. I don't ever remember the Iron Lord petitioning the clan for help with medals (not that there would be anything wrong with that), nor did he even mention it with regard to this War.

[player]Iron Maid[/player]?
I think the Maiden has always been about cross-mapping (or was it cross-dressing, hmmmm). If he is on a medal quest he certainly keeps it to himself and just does it on 1v1 basis and never involves the clan.

Yup we do call our members crusaders. It is pretty neat, and it was born when I was trying to think of an Original name for a clan. rather than the "Immortal tofu horsemen of the legion allied to the empire, nemesis of Sheep, we will beat you in TIME and kick you asses.
