Apologies mate, I had been watching my football team getting beaten by our local rivals  and was browsing the forum while travelling home on the bus after a couple of pints :) ; normally my spelling is pretty good.

Have to say I'm quite impressed with Steve's dexterity on his mobile phone. The other day he played a turn on it while walking to the shower (yeah, big gameload).

I'm always afraid to punctuate after an emoticon because the emoticon is just text anyway...who knows when a period after a green smiley face makes it a cow giving oral to a horse...

It's been 60 hours since Chuck's post re the rule violation. Is anyone from KORT going to make a decision on whether to have the rule enforced or are you simply going to wait for the games to conclude so that you can apply it if we win or be seen to be gallant if we lose?

I certainly know what TOFU's response would have been - and it would have been forthcoming within 12 hours of the breach notice.

Hi Si, I think it's been more like 36 hours. I do know that the delay feels long and uncomfortable for all of us.

We are still coming to a consensus on our response - we don't have just one person from KORT to make decisions for all of us.

I don't think it's reasonable for you to say that with much credibility.

That sentence flew over my head like 8 times. "Reasonable to say that with much credibility." It sounds good, but doesn't really say anything. I mean, it's a great cheap shot but I'm not sure that is proper grammar. Speaking of cheap shots, we've found out the hard way one person in your clan doesn't make all the decisions! Zing!

But yeah you guys take all the time you need and make the decision you all agree on. We don't have any bargaining power, obv, although we are all eagerly awaiting the response. :) (And for the record, YOU'VE known for over 60 hours)
No eternal reward will forgive us now for wasting the dawn.

Just a quick response:

You should have a decision from us in about 24 hours.
Fox was referring to Chuuuuck's post as far as the 36 hour time frame.
Fox was not trying to make a swipe at anybody but rather saying big decisions do not come quick. They must be debated out.

It's 100% bullsh*t that a decision even needs to be made here, a lot of us have worked hard on these games and don't
want to see the challenge end on a technicality. However the same cannot be said about TOFU who tried to pursue a player forfeit claim
themselves - don't try and take the higher ground, CoF, some of you have behaved disgracefully and don't deserve a second chance but
hopefully we won't stoop to your levels.

Whilst I wasn't the one who lodged the complaint, I did however support it. It wasn't a hard decision when you consider the events that prompted it (to have a script, known only to yourselves, that puts "josko for xxxxxx" every time a turn is played....well what reaction did you try to get or expect?). I'm not sure quite what you mean when you say we tried to pursue a player forfeit, as to the best of my knowledge no such thing was ever done and nor was the idea ever entertained, so please don't make wrong assumptions.

don't try and take the higher ground, CoF, some of you have behaved disgracefully and don't deserve a second chance but hopefully we won't stoop to your levels

Pray tell, what 'higher ground' am I trying to stand on? And please don't level accusations of disgraceful behaviour on anyone in the clan for that's simply not true.

It's a curious thing that I'm the one in possession of apologetic PMs from members of your clan for members' behaviour, so you may not want to drag that skeleton out of the closet.

And Angela....you're quite right, it is (was) 36 hours. Perhaps I really do need a calculator!

What did we expect? Considering the fact that you guys had complained about josko sitting earlier in the challenge, and considering that no one in their right mind could possibly think josko was really taking all the turns, we expected most of you to go, "hehe, I see what you did there". We expected you to get the joke, for the most part. We certainly didn't expect half your clan to scream bloody murder to the authorities.

And I don't regret it. I don't think, as everyone seems to make it out, that it was a bad judgment call, that it was in poor taste. I think it was a fairly amusing, lighthearted joke, which for some reason went straight over your heads.

I also find it amusing how your clan has seemingly decided to mention the joke and all its untimeliness on a near constant basis after this whole thing began, as if that it some kind of justification. Are you trying to provoke us into demanding all the games? Is this some sort of martyr complex? I mean, it's unbelievable. You are the ones that have made a mistake that could quite literally cost you the entire challenge. And yet you are the ones hanging around in the thread, seemingly making every effort to badmouth and ridicule us.

I know you've taken all the blame on yourself earlier, and that's certainly commendable, but that's not what you've shown lately. I probably shouldn't have posted this, but congratulations, you managed to provoke me into it. Well done.

Well, first of all, 5 people in our clan simultaneously offered the same idea about dealing with your "joke". I can say that it was not funny for us to see all that lines "josko for xxxx". Maybe it was a good joke, but the timing and circumstances were really bad. What you expected to see is only your expectation and as we all know - nothing ever goes according to plan. You can see the result of it - the last 10 or something pages of this thread. I wouldn't call it screaming a bloody murder to authorities because we asked MHs in private so nothing huge happens - no bans, no reports, no nothing, unless there were a huge violation of the rules. It looks like you got more offended by and you are trying to exaggerate this whole story (I am not even counting that it turned out to be a joke only).

It would have been a good joke if every player in KoRT did it for every turn. But was it not reasonable that Josko had sat for 10 people, 9 turns through 3-4 days of the Batch 3? Nope. You know why? Because Batch 2 when Moonchild was joined up in about 5 games and was on vacation, Josko sat all of those among many others. So really, where's the joke when it's just continuing the same level of covering? Do you mean in other games where the sentence is "Josko for 'x' this turn only" was also the script - did you consider that instead of it looking like him sitting for just everyone in Hive, it about 5 more games and 6 more players? That's a dangerous game, how about we bust out our script that says we'll wait 12 hours for your to get a snap and just say f*ck it. Oh wait, what's that? We waited for you in every fog game in Batch 3 but wasn't even extended the common courtesy in Ardennes Quads? Maybe I'm missing out on this Norweigan/Swedish humor but I don't think so - I don't think IM thinks it was funny and I saw Dead Snow, and the lack of nazi zombies suggests if wasn't even good Swedish humor.

I agree with COF and hope Bruces' statement about the decision is accurate - I'd like to see something said soon so that we don't have any shifting for PR purposes.

Nope, not at all. Especially because it was followed by another comment and a turn where he grabbed around 30 territories, so as much as I love to just stalk him, I was more interested in seeing how the game was developing. Really, I felt it was him being a smug ass and thought it was a douche move - don't take this is as a flame. Now I know it was only a terribly un-funny, unsuccessful joke. Congrats local radio affiliate, everyone thought Orson Welles' War of the Worlds was real - it was hilarious! Only 37 people died - best joke ever!

Dako's and Trap's comments hit the nail on the head and I support those sentiments 100%

NiMic....I'm not quite sure what you're trying to defend or attack here. Let's put it in black and white:

- the josko script was a bad judgment call. You obviously found it very amusing, but then it was an inside joke so how could you expect third parties to appreciate it? Now that we are also in on the joke....ha ha, brilliant. So no more problem, ok The only reason it had been created was because of previous observations that had been made about the extent to which josko had covered other players. There's no smoke without fire, as the adage goes. Outside of the games in which Moonchild was being covered we didn't make a big song and dance about it. On the contrary, we let it slide. Subsequently creating a script to deliberately wind us up wasn't the smartest move - and now you're wondering why steps were taken (discreetly I should add, and without any request for punitive action) to determine what was going on. Are you surprised? Excuse me while I quote you, emboldening the text that goes a long way to deflating any argument you have in support of your joke:

And I don't regret it. I don't think, as everyone seems to make it out, that it was a bad judgment call, that it was in poor taste. I think it was a fairly amusing, lighthearted joke, which for some reason went straight over your heads.

As for you stating that we are mentioning the joke "on a near constant basis" as some sort of justification.....? Justification of what, getting the game count wrong? Don't be ridiculous, it's an entirely different issue - one has been resolved, the other hasn't. How can I justify playing 21 games on the basis of your josko script - that makes no sense.

You are the ones that have made a mistake that could quite literally cost you the entire challenge. And yet you are the ones hanging around in the thread, seemingly making every effort to badmouth and ridicule us.

Actually I am the one, not we are the ones, as it was entirely my fault. But please feel free to drag the whole clan down as you see fit. And yes, we are 'hanging around in this thread' to see what course of action will be taken. It's only natural isn't it? The whole raison d'etre of playing these 60 games is to see who comes out on top, so it would be rewarding to know exactly where we stand given you have this ace up your sleeve of effectively claiming the series. As for badmouthing and ridiculing you.....care to cite where or when? You may have misconstrued some comments which were merely seeking some resolution. And that's all I was trying to do when I made my recent post with which you've taken umbrage:

I know you've taken all the blame on yourself earlier, and that's certainly commendable, but that's not what you've shown lately.

Are you offended that I took it upon myself to beg the question "Is anyone from KORT going to make a decision on whether to have the rule enforced"?

Personally I find it offensive that it has taken so long for you to reach a decision. It would never happen in an honourable clan. So there you go....there's your smoking gun.

There's a good possibility TOFU is losing this because you provoked KORT into taking measures that are harsher than the ones we originally intended to take.

You know, when a hangman has an axe pointed towards your neck and is deciding whether to kill you or let you live, calling the said person dishonourable might get you killed. And it might be hard to claim his decision was unfair when you pretty much conducted his actions with your words.
