"Have you heard..." Talking to Others In Real Time How many times have you, during a team speed or rt game, had a communication failure due to the game chat not refreshing quick enough? I have experienced this myself, but let me show you how Live Chat can solve this problem. Games in the Blink of an Eye (Freemiums will love this!) Free members, are you tired of getting to 4 spots and having to wait hours, days, or potentially weeks for a spot to fill, but don't have a way to easily obtain premium membership? Don't want to wait for a reply in the potentially slow-moving Callouts forum? Well, if you're unfamiliar with Live Chat, then I have some good news for you -The Callout tab. When you come in wanting a quick game, you may very well get one. Players can organize games in here, and upon prior agreement, the players can decide to make the game real time - that is, the game doesn't stop until it's over. Leave an empty slot open then come in and test it! Help! The most recent feature on Live Chat is the Help tab. Anyone can come in here with a question about the game, CC in general, add-ons, what have you, and there will usually be someone there (like myself) to help get the problem resolved or to point you in the right direction. Chit-Chat, and Other Misc. Want to talk about something interesting? Want to joke around? The Social tab has what you're looking for. Social can be described as a grouping of the current off-topic forum, "Serious Interwebz Business ", and good old "General Discussion ". If you come in looking for conversation, you may very well find it. Moderators Yes, just like how the forums have to be kept tidy and friendly, so does chat. Q: Have you ever gotten in trouble on conquer club? If yes, how long ago and what for? [spoiler=Answer]I’m in trouble practically every game I play. If you mean with the powers of CC, no I have never been in trouble except for a warning that my signature was too big once. That must have been shortly after I joined, when I protested against Middle Earth being discontinued as a map.[/spoiler]
Q: Do you ever see a tournament get posted and think "wow, that's a great tourney" or do you feel like you've seen everything? [spoiler=Answer]I definitely don’t feel that I have seen everything. I often think “wow, that’s a great tourney” or take note of certain tournament ideas.[/spoiler]
Q: Do you think Night Strike was overly harsh when he said JoshyBoy would never become Tournament Director? [spoiler=Answer]Not really. Doesn’t mean that I would have said the same though. Never is a very long time.[/spoiler]
Q: Excluding yourself, who in your opinion is the best feudal player? What are your 5 favorite maps? If you weren't a monki, what animal would you be? [spoiler=Answer]Best Feudal player: Daviedoo, he taught me.
5 Favorite Maps: That’s difficult…. I like basic maps and my favorite maps are not favorite because of game play. I’ll give you 5, but I could easily give you 50. Most favorite map ever: Middle Earth. With that map gone my 5 are: Midgard, Netherlands, Iberia, Italy, Puget Sound. May I also state that you’ll probably get a different answer every time you ask me! Ok, it’s now another day, my answer today would be: Midgard, Feudal War, Imperium Romanum, New World, Valley of the Kings.
If I weren’t a monki: Assuming you’re talking clans, I still have a place in my heart for ++The Legion++ (of which I was a member once). Other clans I like are: Fraternal Order of Exceptional Drinkers, The Odd Fellows Union, The Brethren of the Fat Mermaid. For the record: I’m answering a question, not looking for another clan.[/spoiler]
Q: How does it feel being a Tournament Director? What was the most frustrating/funny thing/event/situation you've encountered/had to deal with as a Tournament Director? [spoiler=Answer]Being a TD feels like having a chance to make the tournament experiences better for everybody and I can only hope I contribute to that.
As for the worst experience: I won’t go into details, but it’s TOs breaking their own rules and refusing to correct the situation. It means having to use my “powers” and I don’t like being in that position.
Most impressive: The way other TOs jump to the rescue if tournaments need rescuing.[/spoiler]
Q: Why do you abbreviate your name "Lx"? Why not just have your username as Lx? [spoiler=Answer]First of all, I can’t change my username, or I would. When I started playing people would call me Dax or Lx, I liked Lx the most so started using that myself, thus getting rid of Dax.[/spoiler]
Q: Can you tell us something unique about yourself that separates you from the other TD's? [spoiler=Answer]I’m intelligent.
I have a sense of humor.
I take my position as a TD serious.

Q: Any stories of tournaments that have had to have been cancelled due to forum violations? [spoiler=Answer]Since I’m a TD there have been 1 or 2. However, I don’t think I should “share those stories”.[/spoiler]
Q: In a 6 player singles game, who would be the 5 players you would invite(any reason why?) for your dream game and what map / settings would you choose? [spoiler=Answer]I wouldn’t call it my dream game, but with 6 players that would have to be on the original Classic map and standard, escalating, chained and real time (played as speed). From memory there used to be 2 groups I have fond memories of and I’d invite one of those groups of players precisely because of the fond memories. We really used to have fun playing. I’m going to name names, because I don’t want to forget anybody.[/spoiler]
Q:What is your favorite way to own/get owned in a CC game? [spoiler=Answer]In the rare instances that happens, I prefer it to be because of somebody playing better than I.[/spoiler]
Q: Would you rather prevent a problem, or help fix it? Any CC or Real Life examples that you wouldn't mind sharing as examples? [spoiler=Answer]Prevent it, without doubt. Real life examples: I’m a Scuba Diving Instructor, I think that says it all.[/spoiler]

I got into scuba diving as a professional in the Dominican Republic, about 20 years ago. Am I passionate about it? Are you kidding? I earn money doing something others pay a fortune for![/spoiler]

Now Enlisting: 7 up hosted by [player]barterer2002[/player]Military Conference: A TPA Progress Report provided by [player]jrh_cardinal[/player] Tournament Players Association (TPA) in May of this year. Every Monday, an established Tournament Organizer, chosen by [player]barterer2002[/player], starts a new TPA Tournament. Each players results are then calculated using a system of point values, then added to that players overall score on the TPA Scoreboard. The 3 players with the highest overall scores at the end of the year are given General Achievement Medals.From your point of view, how well is the TPA going thus far? , there was a unanimous response, it's going great! In the words of [player]Drew483[/player], "I know when I join a TPA tournament it is going to be a great tourney filled with players who are serious about their tournament play." [player]Timminz[/player] and [player]Serbia[/player] each summed up their views on the TPA's success in one word, it is going "swimmingly!" The creator of the TPA, [player]barterer2002[/player], responded "I think the organizers involved have done tremendous work and I'd like to thank them all for the successes we've had to date."

Really nothing i dislike.bernooch : Best map evar...well..one of them...its always a challenging map....Zhukov1968 : It's good, and the complexity gives it depth, but this, combined with very specific victory criteria makes it hard to win. As do playing good players like these. However, given the current situation in the middle east, and the anger that exists between muslims and christians, it is interesting to see that our two cultures have regularly crashed during history. So maybe a military solution is not the way forward. But I digress.
All over the world would-be Conquerors are tingling with excitement as the first games in the new clan league kick off. It's a busy busy time for many clans fighting fierce wars but our apologies, we are short on news coverage this issue. A note for the Cup though: as the third tound of the semis begins, with excitements and insults flying, THOTA have held an advantage over LoW, leading 22-17, while TOFU attempt a fightback against KORT, bringing it back to the current score of 16-17.

Starting a Clan... An Insider's View by The Saxlad (The Fourth Crusade) show
I’m angry. Genuinely angry. Why you may ask yourself? Because I’ve been turned down from a clan... again. It’s always, sorry your rank is too low, or sorry you’ve only played 700 games. Sometimes they send out the scouts and ignore me as ever. Every time I pick myself up again, surely somewhere there is a clan that wants me? Somewhere? Even ones where I would surely be accepted I backed out, wasn’t quite my type, or wasn’t quite people I thought I could get along with. Suffice to say I couldn’t find one clan which suited my needs. Then when I was about to give up a thought crossed my mind... Why not make one? Yes, we hear about all the hardships clan leaders such as [player]Masli[/player] and [player]jpcloet[/player] and even [player]joshyboy[/player] go through ( I am not commenting on that...) anyways, how hard could it be to start up and run a clan I thought? Must be easy. Well let me tell you it really isn’t. First you have to think of a name, a good one and that takes time. I decided on THE 4TH CRUSADE . And as well as that it takes balls (or guts) fiendishly good recruitment and a group of players who can play together... I'd like to join. My rating may not be the best, but I left the site while I was premium once and deadbeated out so that's where the ratings come in.
