The "Join a Tournament" portion of the "Tournaments" tab currently has many options - Doubles, Triples, Quads, Sports League, Terminator, Standard, etc. However, 1v1 gameplay is significantly different from most, and a "Standard" or "Mixed" tournament is significantly different from 1v1.
How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:
Just bumping this thread. Not a lot of activity on this thread, but it's a good idea and it would take approximately three minutes of coding (if that).

Coding isn't the problem. It's the going back through all the tournaments and updating them that will take a god-awful long time.

All in favor of just coding tournaments this way "from now on"...
yes is not so important going back and see wich one is 1v1, but the current one.... if still is going to be done backwards then there's no hurry if is 1 day or 2 years

I wouldn't mind a job like that (too much) - over time of course
I was wondering if a organizers could put there own tag at the top of their tournament post like: Tag: 1v1, Bracket or Tag: 6 player, Terminator or Tag: Quad, Sports League If the TD see it when they added it to the database they use that tag. If not, they make up their own. It seems like it would be a lot easier for the TD, instead of having to skim through the thread. I could be wrong though.

Of course any organizer can put their own tag on the thread, but we only have a limited number of tags in the database. I.E. 6 player is not a database tag. Organizers can also request their tournament tag to be changed if they feel the label is not representative of their tournament.
