Sortable join game listing

Post by talonz »

I cannot stand how useless the current join game listing is. Someone really likes city mogul and circus imperium and floods the listing with open games of those maps. With so many pages of maps, its frustrating to wade through those in the hopes of finding a game you want, let alone a map you want.

Being able to search for open games by map and/or sort open games by map or number of players would be ideal, so you can find one you want, avoid creating a new game of same map if one is open, or find a game with one open player slot so it can start asap.

Yes, I've noticed it too. I do have some thoughts about improving this, and maybe I'll try to create a new plugin to improve this (and hopefully Lack will adjust to those ideas in the end).

But I don't have a lot of time, so if someone else is willing to make something, go ahed. And I'd be happy to provide any support necessary.

Game Finder now has a 'search by map' option, so has this been resolved?

Using the API, one could create something even closer, but if the current system is good enough, no point.

You can always use game searcher. However, yes, I think some duplicates can be hidden away.
