If they were multis, wouldn't they make it so the same person won every game? People do have "real life" friends, who enjoy playing together. Richi Motta/Richie Mottas are probably the same person, but I would guess he intends to abandon one for the other, and didn't know you can't do that. Not that it's ok, but it doesn't look like there were malicious intentions.
