players missing turns
if a player misses 1 turn they should be booted from the game.. im currently playing a game with 3 other players and they all missed their turn.. it takes 3 days to have my turn and im playing a game against no one
i also think free players should be able to join fast paced games, forgive me for being a free user, i have no cc or friends that care for internet games so im sol
but yea if thay miss a turn they r out and their troops become neutral! if they cant log on once a day then they prob dont care about one of their games

Re: players missing turns
If you want fast games go to the chat and ask people for rt games. You can make an agreement to play the game in real time, so it will be like playing a speed game.
Or you can just buy premium, $25 is not that much money.

I hate to say it, but I agree with Stanley. There really isn't an excuse to be missing turns. I mean you have 24 hours to take a turn. If your life is so busy that you can't log in even once in a 24 hour period to take a couple minutes to play your turn, then why are you joining a game in the first place? I understand his frustration. I'm in about 20 some games right now and have had several games where people are flat out missing turns. How hard is it to log in twice a day to check for turns. Once in the morning, once in the evening? I mean even with 20 games or so going, I usually have no more than 2 to 4 ready for turns at any time I log in and it doesn't take that long to make the moves.

Re: players missing turns
When I was playing 20-30 games I wojuld generally log in at least 2 times a day.
That said... there were and are times were I can't. Work, wife, kids, law, vacation, etc. etc.
... and yes this can happen in a first turn too if you join a game, but there are still vacancies and the game doesn't start for a few days and or even once it starts my turn might not be for several days after that.

There's lots of things in real life that can happen to make you miss a turn. Power outages, natural disasters, family emergencies, etc. Just because you're able to never miss a turn, don't be so quick to judge other people.

Turn missing can be annoying---but I'm pretty sure I've missed my fair share. The real trick here is to upgrade to Premium Membership so when someone takes forever to take their turn, you aren't waiting for that one game. Plus, you can stick to Private Games with people you know or have come to know. And if they miss a turn, you can reprimand them accordingly as you see fit.

Just recently I was in a team game where one of the opponents deadbeated, another of the opponents asked us to rate the deadbeat accordingly. we later ended up finding out that there had been a death in his family. I know it sucks having people miss turns, but there are always things that come up. I have about 120 games going on right now, which I do manage to cope with, but if something comes up to put it out of whack, logging on twice a day sometimes just won't cut it. There are scenarios where things like sitters come into play, but you guys should try and take this with a pinch of salt and try have a bit more understanding or acceptance of those issues

Leehar makes some good points. Perhaps joining a Clan/Usergroup can make it so you play often with people that you find reliable? There are a couple of Clans recruiting---or you can create your own if you fit the requirements!

haha greenoaks edited his post, whats up with that
i do agree, theres a hundred reasons y someone would miss a turn and its pretty rude to hold it against them, but forfeiting a game that their not playing is not a big deal, i suppose alot of ppl would miss turns just to boycott games that they dont wana play which would end up being a problem..
i'l get an upgrade sooner or later, and $25 is like $45 in this country lol

yeah the problem is it would basically make us have a suicide button again with the skip game button. Also it would change the game a lot...if you are setting up for a kill in an escalating game and then the person misses one turn they are out, you have no time to adjust. If they miss 3 turns you have time to see it coming and adjust your strategy accordingly.

This may not be the answer for everybody but I have several hundred on my foe list. Practically all with very few exceptions have to do with deadbeats. If I play a private or cook with less than a 100% turn rating they are instantly foed. I foed one major for missing a turn. Why? At one point it got so it took several days before I could even finish a game and now even though I still run into deadbeats I won't face them again.
