I prefer the black because the white circles are invisible against the white of the Artic Circle. And yes, the numbers are centralised now.

Why is that a problem? The purpose of the circles is just to prevent the numbers from being hard to see against colored backgrounds, not to be visible for their own sake.

I agree with Andy, maybe gray would be better. But I need to talk, these dark blue numbers suck! All others are much more lighter, so you can use a dark background, but the blue, argh! Could lack use a bit lighter blue there?

And the map is now much better. But I still dislike the legend for one reason: the spaces between the continent names are irregular! See the space between Canada and French Canada... much bigger than between Western USA and Central USA. Can you correct this little thing? Its terrible in my opinion... Maybe you also could make some better connections, huh? Beyond that, good map. :)

And Im happy that the xml worked. I will now sign the map, too...

I noticed that last night too, I had them lined up, but they must've moved when I was playing around with different looks for the legend.

I'll post a gray circle pic, but when i was doin that on my own last night I wasn't too fond of it, however the foundry is part of the decision also.

I'll have a pic up later today then, I have to go for a final, and then I'm biking, but I should have some time.

Here's one with gray circles, not really to my liking but if you guys think they'd be better than the white ones we'll use the gray ones.

Let me know, thanks

---I'm in favor of the 'gray' variation. Perhaps even something a little lighter, but not much. The black is too hard to read for some people, and the white I think distracts from the map in most places. Looks like a piece of paper with a high beams shining through. Perhaps instead of messing with the colors, look into the opacity of the army shadows.

Andy,

I dont know what you mean by 'army shadows' do you just mean the circles? The one's I'm using don't have any shadows coming from them, nor do the numbers.

i think he's just talking about the circles. Try decreasing the opacity.

Hehe, yes. 'Army Shadows' is merely a fancy term for cricles. Sounds cooler, huh? ;)

Those are near a spot on match. I'd ask for a little more darkness, but that'd just be mean and cruel to make you jump through more of my hoops. How do you think they look?

I like them, they provide the visibility of white without the deer in headlights look.

It wouldn't be difficult to darken them a little more. What I've got is black circles with a white color overlay, I'm just playing with the opacity of the white to change the darkness/brightness. The dark grey ones were at 65% opacity, I believe, and the newest ones are at 90%.

The more annoying thing is simply posting the picture :D

those last grey-white circles are by far the best. It brings it together more, and just meshes with the map rather than distracting from it. Keep 'em =)

Um... you're not signed up for the CC World Cup as far as I'm aware. I think ronaldinho is refering to the actual World Cup?
