By the way is anyone a fan of Velvet Revolver, the band Slash and a couple other GNR guys formed with Sciott Wieland from Stone Temple Pilots.

Right, I think you're right. Speaking of the band though, Slither and Fall to Pieces are excellent songs.
Those are my favortites.... When I learn to play the guitar, I want to learn Slash's chords on Fall to Pieces.
Set Me Free and Spectacle are great songs too.
