Another change you might consider is using a up arrow and a down arrow on the buttons, rather than a left and a right, in case this is confusing to those whose language reads from right to left, and may see a number line as increasing to the left instead of the right. I would be surprised to find anyone who didn't see larger numbers as being above smaller ones.

What about the current dropdown menus, where higher numbers are lower on the screen?
