Well, you might think so, but around here, it's more like breeding elephants.

Tell me about it, lol.

Anyway, is there anything else that should be done with the map before FF? Anyone?

In the beginning I was not too inspired by a Moon map. I think you did an amzing job both in terms of gameplay and graphics to make it fun and in teresting. WAy to go! I think it's ready for final forge and I really look forward to playing it in the Beta phase!

Thanks. It's nice to hear we've managed at least some improvement during all this time ;)

This has not been an easy map to make btw. There have been loads of obstacles... when me & Isaiah started this, neither of us had any experience of making a conquest map, and my graphics skills were light years away from what was required for a map like this.

Just for a laugh, compare one of the first drafts with the current map:

Shouldn't be long now, a little bird told me the gfx mods are reviewing the map and should report soon to let us know if there's anything more that needs doing before FF. ;)

This will likely be the last thing I ask for, before sticking this up to review. The flags... Just aren't that good. Somewhat blurry, and a bit too dark in my opinion. Can you spruce them up some?

Can you clarify... the shuttle flags, or all flags in general?

is this any better? if not, I'll have to redraw the flags.

If you do redraw the flags, the Russian landing site flags seem to have gotten their vertical proportions distorted. I think it is supposed to be three equal bars, white, blue, and red, but the white seems a bit wider than the blue, which is definitely wider than the red. The Russian shuttle flag looks okay, though.

All flags. Don't go crazy yet, my tiny iPod screen doesn't do images justice, I'll check out your changes when I get off of "work".

Hmm, you're right. Actually, white & blue are the same but red is 1 pixel smaller - this is because I didn't resize them so that y = n*3...

Well, since I was already awake I thought I might as well redo the flags.

They are slightly blurred, but clearly recognisable. I have no problem with them as they are.

Mmm, not quite happy with the font for the small map, but won't hold it up because of that...perhaps it's just my glasses.
I only think the authors/contributors could do with enlargment on the small map, or something to make them clearer.
Had to check the large map for who they are.

I know about this issue... the authors text on the small map was shrunk directly from the large map so it is not as clear as it can be. I've been meaning to fix this but it has never been a top priority, you know...

And now I can't do it because all my fonts are on my old computer. #-o

So fixing the text will have to wait until I can get the fonts moved here. I'll try to do it a.s.a.p though.

As for the general font of the small map, I'm not touching it. It's finally in a form where it is legible (as legible as any small map anyway) and it took me a shitload of work to get it there, even creating my own font to do it (!) so if it's not good enough now then it quite probably never will be.

I have been watching this map a long time, and as a member of the Map Surveyors, I think it is good to go.

It looks you have some space in some parts of the map that you should use to fit in a better way some names
-Arzachel, it covers the connections but you have free space on the right
-IN2 could be moved a bit to left
-Eratosthenes a bit to right (and 1px down?)
-Cassini a bit to right
- The connection from Aoris base to N mare imbrium is too close to plato label, move it a bit to left
- Move down Mare crisium, firmicus and mare spumans
- Catharine, if you move all ZA2 a bit to left and up there should be room to fit the catarine label on the left of the circle and not on the connection

I noticed a couple of others, but it those cases space is too tight.

If I move arzachel right and catharine left they will be on top of each other :?
