Re: Cruise.
I am kind of bummed. After a slow start we started climbing the ranks, but as we are 16 points behind The Nautilus right now, we have no chance of winning. Only the top 5 teams are really in contention, and if The Nautilus takes two of the last 5 games, then Sarma is the only other team with a shot.
Ah well, it was fun while it lasted.

Re: Cruise.
^well, realistically, this is fight between us and Nautilus. it has been like that for past few rounds

Re: Cruise.
I think a showdown with Nautilus is on the cards. We haven't faced them yet and it would be a great finale if we just happened to draw them in the last series of games.

Re: Cruise.
Yeah, this is reminiscent of the Tour de France where we are just 8 seconds behind the yellow jersey. We're just waiting for their chain to fall off, coz if Nautilus don't lose then we're not going to pass them.

lol, is then giving strategy tips to Nautilus opponents a way to cheat?

Re: Cruise.
I don't know mate, I reckon Andy can give him a good run for his money in the time trial. Will be interesting to see. I'm rooting for the guy anyway.
Pity those poor bastards 100 years ago who did Col de Tourmalet on a bicycle with one gear while wearing a wool jacket and a spare wheel draped round their necks. Unreal eh!

326km, 7 climbs, more then 14hrs drive and famous Octave Lapize with his "Vous êtes des assassins!" i think that sentence alone made tour what it is today
as for ITT, if Andy still had 30+sec advantage, he might give up a good fight, but there is no way he can finish it in same minute as Contador, let alone beat him... im more concentrate to see how much Cancellara will gain on everyone else, and how will battle between Samuel Sanchez and Menchov finish... i have my cold beer, and tv coverage is just starting. time to enjoy!

Re: Cruise.
This might hit the one year mark... doesn't look like we have any chance to win, but we will try and screw it up for everyone anyways...

Re: Cruise.
We beat Nautilus inside 10 on Indo China so looks like Sarma are inching into clear water. Can we Jolly Rogers make a late run for 3rd?
I am getting to enjoy this tourney - it is like dropping into a pub you don't get to often on the other side of town where there is always stuff going on.

Sarma just manage to clinch victory on the last turn of Round 9 in Philippines Game 7713524 to give them an unassailable lead on 49pts.
Thanks Pedro for hosting the tourney and commiserations to waseem and his crew for a very gallant fight that took us to the penultimate game.

Re: Cruise.
Thanks Pedro for a great tourney. This has definitely been one of the most fun ones I've played in - and very challenging with the 'Round 10 Completion' clause. Had the help of great team mates - thanks fellas.
Our last game (Sydney Metro) has now entered Round 10, so you can chalk a point up for HMS Sarma. A nice round 50.
Cheers to all.
