Back to the Basics II-I [Rescued]

Post by Natewolfman »

[edit-Lx] New TO: [player]anamainiacks[/player] | New tournament thread: Back to the Basics II-I

Back to the Basics II-I
NON-PREMIUM'S ACCEPTED

We are blessed here in CC with over 100 maps, playing with fog of war, freestyle, so many card settings, 8 full player games... BUT let us not forget the great game that began all this? Risk itself... If you were to go to any local tournament in your town how would you be playing? In this tournament we will play 36 players separated into 6 player groups, and all settings are based on how the bored game displayed it! So the question is, do you respect this game enough to play the traditional gameplay?

Map: Classic (the only game bored for decades)
Players: 6 (The standard colors which came in your average risk box)
Type: Standard (was there any other back then? I think not ;) )
Play Order: Sequential (No such thing as freestyle until Risk II came out)
Cards: Escalating (Official risk rulebook stated this as the case)
Fort: Adjacent (Official risk rulebook also stated this as the case)
Fog O War: Sunny (no such thing as fog on a boardgame!)

-Each group below represents one of the colors in the original game board, everyone has a color they HAVE to play with on the game, so what do you want to represent, what is your lucky color for signups?

We play on these original settings, winner take all! after each of the 6 player games ends the top 3 advance into the next round, players are divided into three 6-player games, the top 2 player out of each gamea dvance to the final 6-player game! So do you love the game enough to respect the basics? Good luck and have fun!

Game Version 2.0
Just came to my attention that the game minimum is now 3 per player. As you can see the bracketing is set up for a total of 2 games, to adhere to the rule change, the format is moving to the following 6-6player games(top 3 advance) 3-6 player games(top 2 advance) 1-6 player game (winner is champion)

I want in as purple.

I'd suggest changing it to "Back to the Basics 2.0 I" instead of just the single 2.
