The only people I know who went to see BBM fell asleep in the middle of it.

No, actually the people who like sharks and/or lasers avoided it entirely.

so i am forced to suppose that your friends be above those, say perhaps, the kind of people who refuse to enjoy anything lacking the name Tarantino attatched to it?

Crash or Brokeback Mountain for Best Picture of 2005?

i know the award has already been given, but what are you opinions?

imo, Crash blew large donkey balls and BBM deserved it

I haven't seen Crash, so I could not possibly have a preference...

I thought BBM was honest and daring...It made me uncomfortable, but I think that is okay in that situation. The acting was incredible.

And your weak insults show a lack of debate skills. Im not saying that Crash was good, I never saw it. All I know is that I had thought about seeing BBM and everyone I talked to said it sucked or hadn't seen it.

But anyways to answer your question. No. They have seen many movies and in general do not have any prejudices against slow movies.

Were those 2005 awards or 2006?

I preferred Crash myself, so I'm glad it won.

BBM was one of the best movies i've seen...and Crash totally did not deserve the award...BBM pushed the limits of what is "okay", which in my opinion makes its it a great movie (one of many things)

The Departed was amazing!

How can you beat Leo, Matt, and Jack?

That's right.

You can't.

The Last Kiss was another good movie of 2006...
Babel was weird, but worth watching once.
The Illusionist was freakin' great! I loved it and plan to buy it.

That's all the movies I've watched recently.

imho, the best movies of 2006 are

The Departed
Children of Men
Pan's Labyrinth
The Fountain
The Prestige

maybe one or two others, but those 5 were excellent
