You can easily tell when it says "Greatest tie against the British since Bunker Hill" You were playing England not Britain the other day, two different things, and the British press would never make such a awful mistake, no matter how idiotic some of the British press are (The Sun, Daily Mail, Daily Mirror, etc).

Yeah that's a huge awful horrible world shattering "mistake".

Like how you idiots call any American a Yankee.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go write a 5,000 word diatribe about how stupid and inferior Britannia is. I will be sure to let tears of impotent word-nerd rage stream down my face the entire time, too.

I will also base all judgments of your inferior vernacular on the semi-literate blather of your tabloids.

Usually when someone who's really good at something tells me that I'm doing that particular thing, I tend to trust the expert.

Then again, I'm not a loud-mouth, know-it-all, douchebag. I'm not sure how I would respond in that situation.

Chile were brilliant, the second round games from groups G &H are gonna be fantastic. Things are starting to warm up here!

Now lets see what Spain can do, on paper they should walk this world cup yet I have a funny feeling they might crash and burn.

Definitely one of the best games played so far---Spain vs Switzerland.

Swiss beat this threads fav. Spain. Awesome!

First time Switzerland has ever beaten Spain... and also tells me my predictions on Spain were right, first off they were arrogant enough to think they could just plow over the Swiss without putting in some "key" players *cough* #9 *cough* ... and they paid for it, all the Swiss needed was a couple shots to put this one away. Spain had the ball for about 85 min of the game, just couldn't finalize.

Great job Switzerland on putting a rest to this Spain frenzy.

Had a strange feeling that would happen, wont be easy for them now, they will have to win both of there next games probably and chile looked great earlier.

Well Put It This way...

If chile beat spain
and switz beat honduras

whatever happens spain are out of the world cup even if they beat honduras.

Still I think England Will Win even though Germany look Hot.

And looking forward to tonights match!

Spain won't win the WC...

But I do agree both England & Germany both have good shots at winning the WC... both looking good.

That's a pretty huge 'if'.

I still think Spain are going to go late into this tournament. They fumbled seriously on this match, but they are still a very, very talented team. They'll make a few adjustments, and be the high-scoring team that everyone expected to see.

I agree. Torres was true to his usual form when he came in late, and I think they will rebound.

It seems after the anomalous result of Spain actually managing to win a major tournament (ie the European Championships 2008) they're back to their usual form of being good but playing rubbish when it counts. Isn't the expression something along the lines of "flattering to deceive"?
It's over for them, credit to Switzerland though, no-one saw that coming!
