Yeah, seriously, we Americans would be considered widely traveled if this continent was like Europe. If we were allowed to include states as countries, I bet we'd all have a higher average number than the Europeans posting in this thread.

Also, to be fair to InkL0sed, jonesthecurl never actually ASKED anyone to fill out his survey. He just mentioned he wanted to do one. I was a bit confused too and wondered if it would be spamming to answer the survey questions, or if he wanted us to give him more questions, or something ridiculous like that.

And of course, part of the problem with conducting a survey on a forum like this is that anyone answering later will be able to read through all of the previous responses, which will subconsciously effect the answers they give -- most likely leading them to give different answers than those already provided. Sorry, that was all part of a statistics class I took in college. I don't know how formal or accurate Mr. Thecurl wants this to be.

It's for a fun purpose, not a serious one. I did consider asking for the answers as PMs but that would limit the number I could get.

On the subject of countries visited, there's a boardgame( I forget which one) where the first player is the one who has visited the most countries. If Mrs thecurl is playing, she alwasy goes first.

My answer to that one would be 28, mostly European. I was about to put 27, when I remembered Belgium.

Like Pimpdave, if we could consider states and Candien provences or even regions (north and south California, for example), my total would be
US states 43 (though I think I missed a couple)
Canadien provences -- 5 ( counting Victoria)
