reptile will participate in this blood bath

Settings: Auto, Space, chained, fog, escalating cards

Also speaking of seedings, the tournament will honor the diversity of CC maps. Therefore players can and will choose their own home maps and settings. But by the time we get to The Mean Sixteen (Final Four Rounds), all maps settings will be assigned via Random.Org.

does this mean that my settings probably wont even be used for me... it will be some random ppl? lol, that is hilarious if so.

I think you comprehended that incorrectly. Home maps/settings are valid through the opening rounds. By the final four rounds, maps and settings will be random.

This is MY FIRST TOURNAMENT and I'M DOING IT BIG! I would say that I want this to be the best tournament on CC, but I've been a part of a many great tournaments lately.

Just to name a few of the great tournaments I've participated in recently:
- LxDS - L-Train http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=113751

NCAA College Hoops 2009-2010 http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=102074

CC Season Championship IV http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=91&t=104257&hilit=sir+ricco+league

JRH's Full 2010 MLB Season http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=91&t=116928&p=2584389&hilit=mlb+jrhcardinal#p2584389

The organizers have been great, the set-ups and their dedication to excellence has been top-notch. I would be happy if I approached 80 percent of their quality, particularly when it comes to the graphics of the the tournaments and the innovative concepts incorporated.

I've established that I don't have the skills of some great tournament organizers (though I would hope to develop them). But I can run a tournament on a grand scale that will be ultra-competitive. So that is exactly what I will do!

The Tournament

This tournament will be a single elimination 1 v 1 tournament. That means whoever wins this tournament, will never lose a game! And that is the way it should be. We all crave to win a huge single elimination tournament, where the champion wins every game and nobody else can lay claim to that feat. That makes the winner, The Unsurpassed Champion!.

There will be no limit on the amount of players that can join. The more the better. I'm hoping that we can get at least 256 players. 512 would be even better. And 1,024. Has there ever been a tournament that reached a 1,000 players? Probably not. But if any tournament can do that, then hopefully it is this one.

When you join, you will get to play. I do not have to hit certain numbers like 128 or 256 to get it going. I will simply give first round byes to the players with the best rankings. In the event of tied rankings, I'll go by medals for the tie-breaker. That same standard will apply to seedings as well.

Also speaking of seedings, the tournament will honor the diversity of CC maps. Therefore players can and will choose their own home maps and settings. But by the time we get to The Mean Sixteen (Final Four Rounds), all maps settings will be assigned via Random.Org.

The seedings/byes will be by rank just to make that clear.

The tournament invitations will be sent out approximately 30 days from the time of this thread. As I mentioned, it is the tournament goal to get as many players as possible.

Who can join?

This tournament is open to all freemiums and premiums. Freemiums must keep a spot open though so that you join your games within the require time.

When you join

Just simply state that you are in and your map with all settings. If you forget a setting(s), then a setting(s) then it'll be assigned. Also, even if you are a low rank such as a cook then you still need to list your map and settings in the event that you play another low rank player in the tournament.

5/20 - Seedings will be determined at the commencement of the tournament. That is when rankings go into effect and not when you sign-up.

5/21 - I'm not good with graphics, so if anybody wants to make me a signature that I can use for this tournament then I would appreciate it 8-)

5/22 - The snowflake has grown into a snowball. There are now 15 players signed-up for the tournament. Let's make it an avalanche. Tell your friends to sign up.

5/22 - I created a promotional video for the tournament! It can be viewed here: http://www.masher.com/player.jsp?key=ba063e8a-76f2-7e1a-d748-00006c9d0de0&adscheme=0 - If anybody knows how to make it so the embed code works then let me know. I tried to do it, but it would not work for me on CC.

5/23 - I forgot about the random map option. So those players that do not list a map or say they don't care what map they do will get assigned random as their home map. As such, you can also explicitly request random as your home map. Again, if you don't list settings or only some settings, then settings will be arbitrarily assigned.

5/24 - We hit the 100 player mark! And we made it in quick time! We are at 103 players in 95 hours. That's over a player an hour signing up! But I need your help to make this a tournament of epic proportions! So tell your friends, partners, lovers and enemies about the tournament. Follow-up to be sure they sign-up too!

5/25 - Congratulations people! Less than 48 hours after announcing that we hit the 100 player mark, we have hit the 200 player mark! Please continue to spread the word about this EPIC TOURNAMENT!
