I like the idea, but if you start making to many settings, the common CC'er is going to struggle. If you created an advanced games option at some point and included that as an option then that'd be good.

Just out of curiosity, has there been any discussion on how adjacent attacks would work in freestyle games?

I believe we did discuss it briefly....I think we decided it should be about the same. Meaning, you can only attack from the territories you start from, but as soon as you lose a territory its taken off the list of territories you can attack with.
So if you lose your front line armies to a quick first-5 second push, you can conquer back those territories with the ones you had behind them, but you can't attack with that newly-reacquired front line until the next round. Does that make sense?

Right. When the turn starts, the list of "attacking territories" is created. As the turn evolves, some territories will be removed from the list as they change ownership. But no territory can be added until next turn begins.

When your turn starts, not the round, correct? It would be basically the same thing, but you wouldn't need to generate the list until you actually started your turn.

Right again. It would be a lot more efficient to do it when yout turn starts, because you save adding a lot of territories to the list that will change ownership before you actualy begin your turn.

Very much looking forward to it being implemented as well. I love playing this way as it adds so much more strategy to the game. Unfortunately it's also way too easy to mix up the AA games with the non-AA games and make mistakes, which sometimes can kill a game without the actual code being implemented.
