I bet it would look better with shades of grey only. This is just a suggestion, but I hope you'll at least try out some other colour and texture combinations.

I already have tried many other options, and this one is the one that i prefer to stick with, thanks natty :)
The map looks quite awful placing other colours in there IMHO.

Mainly I was hoping you would get rid of any colour there... ;)

Some of the cetering looks a little off at present. I'm having issues with my cache so i'll look at this again shortly.

I think the line between Public 10 and 11 is a different thickness(thinner) than the rest.

it's lord's tavern, not lords' tavern.

http://www.lords.org/lords-ground/lords-tavern/

also, pavilion has only one l, not two, as u have in the legend.

sorry i missed these earlier!

that's better!

i also notice that, in the xml, the public areas are labelled as, for example, public 01 and public 02, while they are public 1 and public 2 on the map. ideally, they ought to be the same, but this isn't critical, since i imagine that only the most hurried turns (or the most careless players) will have a problem with misdeployment because of it.

a minor niggle: the vertical public 12 text looks a bit untidy because all of the other public areas have horizontal text. no-one else has mentioned it though.

Using the two-digit labels for the public is a good idea for getting the dropdown menus sorted, so you should keep that, but the labels on the map should match. If the two-digit labels look odd on the map, perhaps the regions should be labelled Public A through Public N.

0s added in front of digits...

i've centered the text on public 12, but without shifting things around again, it will have to stay vertical...and i don't think players will be too pretrubed about it.

I wonder if the "12" in "Public 12" should be horizontal instead of vertical. Would that be easier to spot? Just thinking out loud here, so to speak... (That's probably the smallest nit around.)

...but then i'd prefer to maintain the consistency of the orientation od the vertical read.

Fair enough. I wondered about that too, but I thought the change was worth considering. Okay, let's get this show on the road!

Hi,

Found a few mistakes in the XML:
-Batter 1-Wicket Keeper bonus of –1 is not in XML
-Batsman 4 and PC5 don’t border on map, but do border in XML
-border Batter 1 and Batter 2 is 1-way in XML
-Public 7 and Public 8 don’t border in XML
-Public 3 and C-Bar don’t border in XML

Forza AZ

Hi Forza AZ

I've adjusted those items above, and a couple of centerings on the large map, in the same file and reloaded.

Thanks

XML is OK now

I have a feeling that the +1 for holding the 'Media Centre' bonus will be misinterpreted as holding the stand-alone 'Media Cen.' region.

Yes that's possible.
As I'm working on all these heavily this weekend. i'll change that to Media Complex. :)

Ahhhh, I remember giving suggestions for this map ages ago, then forgot about it. Great to see it alive though!

What's a batter, btw? No such thing exists in cricket, maybe in baseball, but not in cricket. Batsman sounds so much better.
