Your Whac-a-Mod III Highlights/Lowlights?

Post by AndyDufresne »

Now that Whac-a-Mod III is coming to a close...what were some of your high points and low points?

Some of mine---

Highlights:
  • Making Lieutenant (though I'm sure I won't stay it for long).
  • Game 6996431 because it was one of the longest and most epic 1vs1's I've played on a small map, with lots of ups and downs! Good game, [player]-Maximus-[/player].

Lowlights:
  • Losing anywhere from 2-5 games that I probably could have won, or could have better positioned myself to make a better a run.
  • Not getting to participate in a couple of team games.

Somewhere in the Middle:
  • Whac-an-Admin Special. To be determined.

Highlights:
  • Gain Over 200 points
  • Ranking up to Captain
  • Going 3-0 against Majors
  • Game 6985906 a great battle!

Lowlights:
  • Starting 0-3 because of awful dice.

I had a great time! Thanks to all who played against me
Curses on those who beat me. lol

I only played one game, and I think it maybe lasted 4 rounds. I dropped a bonus and went first, and King Sam had zero chance. He was a good sport about it though.

High-winning first try

Low-not being able to play anymore-then watching others play more games after they won anyway (reading is fundamental)

As there are only a limited number of moderators and a rather large number of public members, we are asking that everyone be courteous and play in only one game at a time. If you want to join game after game, that is fine, but please do not join multiple games at once in order to keep spots available to as many people as possible. Once you successfully whac a moderator, we ask that you step away and let others have their chance at getting a medal, so as to give as many people as possible the opportunity. If you are found to be hogging game slots you may be in danger of not receiving a medal at the end of the competition. All of the moderators will be trying to play as many games as they can manage during the time of competition to give as many people a shot as possible.

My view is you set an example and don't reward medals for players that just kept playing. As I always say:

Well, it's a good thing then that you weren't joining games two days after you got your first win.

Oh wait, you were. Way to go there, chump.

Well then it's a good thing you didn't join multiple games at once or at least not team and one on ones, then joined other one on ones when they stopped being RT, which you did.
