The best movie you have seen in the month of May?
I was going to have to go with Ironman 2. But just watched a strange movie called "Kick-ass"
It was actually pretty funny and kind of action packed.
Im kind of a movie guy and watch about a movie a day.
So what gets your vote for best so far in May?

You're a movie guy?!
Huh, I guess I just thought of you as a hardcore-badass who passed time waiting for his eggs to hard boil by picking on Player.
Well, we're only 8 days into the month,.... Unfortunately, I'm gonna have to admit that the best one so far for me is Star Trek. And I've watched like 9 films.

I've not seen Kick-Ass, though I'd like to. It's based on a comic which has I hear caused quite a stir (not for any bad reason, just because it's good). I can't confirm this as I still haven't found a new comic shop (holds back a tear) - I've only been to a comic shop ONCE this year, and we're already in May.

Just watched one of the most disturbing films i've ever seen. "The Machinist" is a film that will make a dark, indelible impression on you. Christian Bayle should be a shoo-in for the Oscar on this one.

It's a brilliant movie. The story is a little different from the comic, but I think it's a change for the good (mostly because I don't like depressing shit like that).
"Some motherfuckers are always trying to ice skate uphill."
Duane: You know what they say about love and war.
Tim: Yes, one involves a lot of physical and psychological pain, and the other one's war.

Yeah, I haven't read the comic, but I loved the movie. Matthew Vaughn can do no wrong, in my mind, and he's proven it once again. Well worth seeing, but it can wait until DVD jonesthecurl.

Re: The best movie you have seen in the month of May?
I love how whenever we get a movie thread started, 90% of the responses are for Blockbuster films and/or films that everyone and their mother has seen.
SO, THANK-YOU for looking outside of the box!
Hamlet 2 was alright, but not great. Each chapter seemed to follow the same pattern by ending on a joke... I have Paper Heart as well, but cant find the nerve to watch it.
Best line of the film: "Rock Me Sexy Jesus!"
I also saw Military Intelligence And You! and again, it was alright. The concept has been done, yet done so few times that it remains pretty fresh. Take archive footage, and add yourself into it. This film would be funny to you if you like Leslie Nelson kinds of flicks.... you know, the kind that bombard you with quick and corny jokes.
Best Line of the film: "And who could hate popcorn?"
Zach Galifianakis Live At the Purple Onion MEH! IMHO he's lost a lot of his comedic edge. Though I see a pattern here for the first time in my life. I used to love Dimitri Martin, then he gained a lot of success and now I'm not as big of a fan as I once was. The same line goes for Zach G. Being the reformed comedian that I am, I need someone who walks closer to the edge to make me laugh I think.

It's the only movie I've seen in May so far and yeah Kick-Ass was awesome. Heard surprisingly "meh" reviews about Iron Man 2 from friends. They all enjoyed it but none had great reviews for it.
I'm kind of looking forward to Robin Hood but at the same time, I feel it's just a cheap way to get people to associate Russel Crowe with Gladiator again.

Looks interesting, but I can't find a US release date
I guess all else fails, I can go look at the pulgas. Maybe Alamo, Mercedes, or the big one up on Conway! I'm not a big movie buff, but I checked out the trailers, and this one I want to see!
