Dear conservatives in America, you have bankrupted almost every state you have owned, congratulations on being responsible with your money.
Dear conservatives in America, the bigger European economies are not running out of money by spending it like America, whoops seems like retarded Republicanism has failed.

The solution is to tax less and spend more.

Thank you for displaying your ignorance of the rest of the world again.

Unless you're making a joke, then you should throw in ajust to make yourself look even more stupid.
I'm being an idiot on purpose.
Europe is running out of European money.
Japan is running out of Japanese money.
America is running out of other people's money like the Chinese, Japanese and Middle-East (Saudi).
And if you really want to know, aside from California, almost all of the other states going bankrupt or on the edge of bankruptcy have all been run by Republicans and the right.
You're right though, it's those damn liberals and their spending that's ruining America, not Republicans who cut taxes and add to deficits by increasing social programs and spending.

You're also ignorant. I live in Michigan, which has gone from a prosperous state after 12 years of John Engler being governor (Republican) and now after 8 years of the Canadian, Liberal Democrat Jennifer Granholm's leadership, has runaway job losses, unemployment, bad housing market, and more problems on top of all that. So tell me Mr. Foreigner, how are the Republicans responsible for this one? HMM??? Or would you like to shut the heck up now?

It must be nice in that alternate reality bubble you've created for yourself.

Ignorant? You've basically constructed an alternate reality where you have prescribed me opinions that you feel I represent.
I never said Democrats were angels, it's just that the original poster is probably a Republican and I felt the need to point out what a disaster Republicans have been. Don't get me wrong, Democrats aren't any better.

I know your Euro is dropping rapidly in value, and if it wasn't for Germany, the whole EU would have collapsed already. Socialism and entitlements don't work. Your continent=FAIL

The drop is a temporary thing - it's the currency market.
The important thing is bond rates have not gone up significantly in Spain, Portugal or Italy.
And I'm sure if Europe failed America would be right behind Europe - trying to out fail them.

conservatives???

George Bush barely, BARELY practiced conservatism. Conservatives for the most part rejected Bush and his phony compassionate conservatism. But what did you think conservatives were going to do? Vote fore John Kerry? The democrats deserve just as much blame for not being able to beat Bush.
Time to question who/whatever is putting these falsehoods in your head.

Re: Dear Europe
Bond default rates have skyrocketed. Ratings downgrades are coming. Which lead to higher rates. Just watch.....

Re: Dear Europe
Doesn't America borrow money from Europe? If they come knocking at our door looking for cash then what will we do? Other than vote out Democratic politicians in November of course.

Hey, gang! Ol' Saxi here.
I'm a European living in America, if I haven't mentioned it previously.
A few things I would like to add to the chit-chat:
(1) America operates a system of global taxation. There is virtually no intrinsic value in U.S. Treasury Bonds; countries don't purchase them as an investment, they purchase them as a tithing -- generally speaking.
(a) Among the ten largest foreign holders of U.S. Treasuries are 6 nations [or national
groupings] that are either dependent on the U.S. for protection (protection from the U.S.
against local enemies, or, in some cases protection from the U.S. against the U.S. itself). The mass purchase of this worthless paper has a snowball effect creating perceptual value that acts as a pressure mechanism to force countries that, in reality, don't actually need to pay tithing to anyone to also buy-in (e.g. PRC). In organized crime this is sometimes called a "pyramid style" protection racket.
(b) Because of this state-of-affairs the economic values of the U.S. federal government can not be very accurately juxtaposed against those of other governments. As unfair as it may be, the U.S. operates by a different set of rules and "foreign debt," in all frankness, does not have the same definition in practical parlance in application to the United States as it does in real financial verbiage. U.S. Treasury Bonds are, in fact, receipts issued to sovereign governments caught in this protection racket. In real politik they are not, in fact, debt obligations in any practical meaning of those words. (The overwhelming majority of Americans seem not to understand this as they bemoan "the politicians" for raking up "debt.")
(2) Ten U.S. states ended this year with no budget deficit - of those, five have Republican governors and five have Democrat governors. (This includes only states that have the ability to run a deficit, as some states are prohibited by their constitutions from running any deficit.)
(3) Canada is an export-driven economy and 83-percent of their exports go to the United States. Any negative economic impact felt by the U.S. will be felt triply hard by Canadians ... on a delayed basis. If the US loses a finger on Monday, Canada will lose an arm on Friday.
(4) If you are sexually active, pleaaase use protection. In 2009 40 million new cases of syphilis, gonorrhea, chlamydia and trichomoniasis occurred throughout the world in men and women aged 15-49 years. Let's keep it safe, gang!
