I get the whole random thing ... isolated instances where the dice do some crazy things are a given.

In the game above I had a bonus and opponent was down to 2-3 tert's ... pretty much game over but you never know ... so he takes a 7 through my 10 (supporting my bonus) and then through a 2 a 2 and then a 4. Brutal for me, but I can accept it, kind of laugh it off, as he does but play goes on.

I secure another bonus and he takes a 4 through a 7 (again holding my bonus) AND then a 3. I deploy and have a 6 on 3 .... I lose all .... he goes on to win the game INCLUDING about 3 times he won 3v3.

Random my ass .... there's got to be a glitch. I understand there SHOULD be isolated times where these things happen but all in one game? Something is wrong ...

By the way I know I had sworn off 1v1 but I got the itch. I actually found my rating climbing pretty quick in bigger games with 5+ players but enjoy the speed of 1v1. Anyway ... just bitching .... sometimes the bullshit is too much

Each roll of the dice is basically as random as it can be. If the algorithm which rolls the dice has an equal probability of rolling 1 through 6, then you cannot say the dice here are unfair. It is impossible to look at ANY sample, no matter how large it is, and from that be able to determine something about the rolling mechanism. You could take the entire aggregate of all the dice rolls on CC and it still wouldn't tell you anything, because it's entirely possible, albeit unlikely, for a thrown system to result in something ostensibly fair. So your statements about "isolated" dice rolls are nonsensical; looking at one game, or one streak of games, and saying that the dice are non-random is meaningless, because you have only used a finite sample. If you are unsatisfied with random.org, that's one thing; but if you are satisfied with it, you have no grounds for saying the dice are unfair. And you can't point to any one game to defeat that point.

You are trying to say that if your throw very bad dice, that in your next roll the chance that you have terrible dice again has decreased.
That is wrong, the chance of throwing a '1' is 1/6, the chance of throwing a '1' right after you threw a '1' is still 1/6. If you throw ten '1's in a row the chance that the next number is again a '1' is still 1/6.
And yes, that's exactly why losing 10vs4 and your opponent winning 3vs3 in the same game IS random !

I'm confused. If the dice behaved at all times in accordance with the mathematical odds of 1 stack versus another...they wouldn't be random at all...and hence not dice.

Okay I guess what I'm saying is that the probability of all those dice behaving the way they did must be some astounding number. An isolated incident is random and par for the course ... and part of what makes CC so great .... this was about 5-6 'isolated' incidents all in one game. Maybe I just walked into the perfect storm .... however,

I do believe that there is an issue with the dice at times - some kind of glitch - because the streakiness is just odd. If it was a couple guys going at it you would expect the streaks as proof of random .... but with thousands of us rolling dice the way we do .... long dice streaks shouldn't happen as often as they do.

Happens in craps too.

Most people over time (the vast majority) will lose to the house, because the odds are against them. However... since millions of people a year play craps you get some small number that 'because they are lucky'... beat the odds and win more often than not.

You also get people who NEVER win.

Most lose more than they win (which is how the odds in craps are supposed to work)... but they win 'enough' to keep playing.

ok you have good times and bad but this is going on forever just started singles tourney 2nd round 5 games at a time get second go in all then hit with 10 vs 2 did not win a roll followed by 7 vs 3 the same ?

I had one 17-3 and lost .... had 15-2 barely win, etc
lost 4 of 5 games against an opponent who clearly had no idea what he was doinng but thats the game

This has been going on for a while and its sickening ....

the best good dice I can ever recall getting was a 11-17 that ended with me moving 9 forward, though I'm sure I've had better ... but 12 6's in a row after the rest of my day has been shit too ..... bullshit ....

i winning 55% of games mate but feels like about 20 % at moment lost around 700 points over last 10 to 12 weeks it is not that my dice are bad just that always matched like for like in so many games feels like to me that the random dice are putting out all the 6's together then next turn all the 1's and so on great dice if you want pairs or triples

other day i can remember i rolled in 2 single attacks 5 x 6's and a 5 to be beaten by all 6's in defence dice this random lol

In the game I lost - the first 2 turns I took the defence rolled 10 6's in a row .... what the hell is going on?
