Hey, great looking setup. I will give it a shot and take the Ovechkin position -- Washington Caps "sniper". I'll need someone to join me as goalie if you have any suggestions. Thanks

We will take Colorado Avalanche "asuman1179" Sniper "milehirob" goal. Still trying to understand all the rules of the game but just looking to have a little fun.

I'll post a sample game up tonight...so you can get a better idea how it works.

I have several singles looking for spots, but you aren't officially in until you form a team (2 players), so pm another single and try to pair up to reserve one of our final spots.

Here's the singles list as I have it...

ricthefirst -- Montreal
TheWild5 -- Nashville

others...

Awaiting confirmation for one final team, then we'll get started with the first round.

I've added a sample game in the rules (halfway through), so take a look if you want to get a better feel for the official scoring.

Basically, SNIPERS pile up shots by winning maps and winning quickly; they also pile up power plays each time a rainbow set is turned in. GOALTENDERS turn away shots at a higher clip if they win a map quickly...same with power-play kill.

Just like in the real NHL...a hot goalie can win a series, but at the same time a goalie can only to so much if he's facing an endless barrage of shots :)
