how do *I* wish for us to proceed? that doesn't really matter. I EXPECT us to wait until someone dies, panic, and end up killing an innocent person.
At any rate... we have no semblance of information to base any action on. Are you implying that you advocate killing someone totally at random?

you say we are to wait for some one to die, so since waiting involves not doing anything, like lynching some one i suspect you mean us to wait until some one dies from natural causes, or are you saying that you will wait until someone dies and then go kill an innocent person, either way doesn't make sense
Lol, between AoG that seems compelled to pick between LSU and no lynch and taco_man who wants to do nothing yet has a vote on wercool instead of no lynch, this is gonna be hard...
spiesr wrote:After analyzing the little that I know about this game at this point I am strongly leaning towards the idea that this game is has recruiting in it. It seems like letting the recruiter(s) get his first recruit safely was the entire point of having a night 0. In light of this possibility I don't think I can really support a no lynch at this point as the most likely recruiters are anti-town roles. Giving them more free time to recruit can't be a good thing in that case, especially when they would have the potential to subvert town power roles like cop.
If I recall well you mentionned it before, but I really don't get it. Night 0s are sometimes used that way yes, but that would either mean town has a mason recruiter, which would be kinda weird in a small game, or if the focus is on a cult. Frankly I have a hard time imagining that in a Modern Warfare setting, except if the game is totally unbalanced, or a faction game, which doesn't make sense. Either you have info we don't or you're speculating on the Night 0 utility only?

The idea of day time in mafia is you try to gauge what other people say, generally scum want anyone but themselves lynched and town want to try and hunt down the scum. No lynch is a stupid option for people who are clueless, and I am still baffled by both lsu and ga7 backing the idea.
ga7 wrote: Either you have info we don't or you're speculating on the Night 0 utility only?
And what have you been backnig the whole no lynch idea off of?
And where has lsu gone to? Seems to have gone quiet since i removed the pressure from him.

It's called getting the taxes done. I'm still for a no lynch simply because this was an unusual beginning and we can gain more out of getting investigations than killing a townie most likely and possibly leading to an early end game. I've already defended myself and am going to FOS those idiots that are still trying to get me to claim when only scum can benefit from it.

I kind of agree with a no lynch, that being said, they are rarely any good due to the mafia getting a free kill. However, we are going nowhere fast with this day so some information might be useful vote no lynch
This is the mod's first game, we don't know the setup (i.e. if there even is a cop), and if there is one there is no guarantee that the cop is experienced enough to help us out at all. Let's say we vote no lynch. Okay, so now the cop knows the identity of 2 people (possibly 1 if he investigated the N1 victim). What good does that do town unless he reveals himself early in the game and sets himself up to be killed? We're going to be in the same place on Day 2 as we are now, but with one less townie.
I'll go ahead and unvote for now, but still FOS LSU. I disagree with your logic, but I'm not sure that you're being scummy either.
Honestly it just seems like a strategy difference at this point and while I disagree with his logic I get the overall impression that LSU isn't mafia. unvote for now.

good point. At first, i wanted to put some pressure, but since then, there has been no defense, and no response to the requests for one. Maybe this means that has none, and cant role-claim, because he doesnt have any clue about what innocent roles are, other than town.
I would not like a deadline. lets sort this out, but i am also open to a deadline. yes, i have been reading the posts above me, and in fact all posts. i see no real defense.
<NoSurvivors› then vote chuck for being an info whore

Ok this kind of me being stupid I saw prod and I automatically assumed prod for inactivity...

edit: That being said he has explained his reasoning and while I disagree with his logic it is a defense.

It's that one.

But, you need to be posting or the game will never get anywhere. Not posting in order to avoid suspicion is often considering a scum strategy.
vodean wrote:now my vote is REALLY justified, and i feel that LSU may need a prod to give a real defense. i cant see one!
vodean, the fact that LSU gathered suspicion after you voted for him does not "justify" your vote. Only YOU can justify your vote. You must provide some sort of coherent and explained reasoning when making your vote to do that.
I've been stating that I would like to see a no lynch for the cop to get a 2nd investigation so vote no lynch. Vodean my defense was stated and just because you aren't use to certain methods over here does not mean that a defense was not given. If the only "defense" you can think of is having me claim I'm the man on the moon or something else goofy like that you have another thought coming. Even not knowing what the roles we have here I could claim anything as far as obvious town roles and even if countered we wouldn't know for sure that there was only one of them. Right now to me you're one of the most suspicious people here in the town although it might just be the noobie in you. You think someone that isn't close to Lynch -1 should still claim just to give scum a target for tonight. The way you state I wouldn't know what to claim other than "town" is quite laughable being that I've played on this site for over a year and a half now if I counted correctly and makes me suspect that you in fact may have a role that isn't "town".
