After dabbling with tournaments (and admittedly not doing too well in most of them) I have decided to organize my own based on my favorite map, the classic world map.
All games will be played on the classic map with the following settings:
-All games will have 4 players (look at the guidelines below)
-Sequential play order (freestyle is lame imo)
-Flat rate spoils (escalating can get out of hand and I feel flat rate encourages more strategy)
-Chained reinforcements
-Sunny.
***NOTE*** I made a mistake when I initially posted this, I have since added 1 more round ***
Now this is where it gets a little crazy. The tournament will start with 32 players, with rounds 1, 2, and 3 being doubles games. The winners of round 3 will go on to the 4th and final round which will be a standard 4 player game the winner of which wins the tournament.
All round 1 players and teams will be assigned using the random list generator on random.org.
Since this tournament only requires you to play one game at a time freemiums are welcome to join however they must make sure they have a slot open or they will be booted. All players must have completed at least 25 games (this is to make sure there are no deadbeats) and must have at least 97% attendance.
ps. there will also be 4 reserves.
