Re: don't advance button
I think it is a good idea, but although it would be greatly used, its probably not the most important thing
Although I would use it every time I played a speed freestyle game...

[Assault] [Auto-assault]
It's not like it'd be different from that

But I like to lounge on my sofa with one hand scratching my ass while the other hand operates the mouse. There's no hands left to fondle the keyboard...

I just thought it was for moving faster...
Re: don't advance button
Nice improvement, not very important though.

Re: don't advance button
good idea. it would save a significant amount of time and errors.
Re: don't advance button
Actually this option exist on clickable maps, instead of clicking on the territory you want to advance to, you just have to click on the assaulting territory and it advances 0 troops...

Re: don't advance button
Yes, but is the "it's already possible with plugins" really a good reason for not implementing something on the site?

Re: don't advance button
I would use this constantly, so this gets my full support.
If an earlier post about "hitting 0" works, then why has nobody ever mentioned it before?

Advance Zero armies button
Concise description:
Specifics/Details:
How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:
- Advance Zero armies button
Specifics/Details:
- I want an advance 0 armies button! Generally speaking, you will for the most part advance all your armies or none at all. Why force players to pull down the menu and scroll up to zero, when this could be done with a single press? It will also save vital time in speed games.
How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:
- Less time spent pulling down and scrolling through tedious menu's and more time killing opponents!
Taking an enemy on the battlefield is like a hawk taking a bird. Though it enters into the midst of a thousand of them, it pays no attention to any bird other than the one it has first marked.
Re: Advance Zero armies button
more clutter on the screen, no thx.
Re: Advance Zero armies button
A single button , clutter?! What are you talking about?
Only people with the attention span of a goldfish would be distracted by such a button.

Re: Advance Zero armies button
If you're using clickable maps you right-click on the region you just attacked from and it advances 0 (I use the add-on, I'm not sure about site-integrated clickies). Otherwise click on the drop-down list and type 0. Unless you're using a browser designed in the 1800s, it should change to 0.

yes clutter, as more of us migrate to small screens there is not enough screen space for buttons to help every lazy player save a fraction of a second
Re: Advance Zero armies button
I use the little roller dial on my mouse...the one in the middle on top. works great.

The site-integrated clickies also allow you to advance 0 armies when you click on the region you just successfully attacked. This doesn't seem to have any advantage for the site.

Re: Advance Zero armies button
I only use the drop downs. I actually would like to see an advance all, advance none, and the drop down, that'd be really nice.

With the site clickable maps you can advance all or none depending on the side of the mouse you click.
Re: Advance Zero armies button
As was said in another suggestion by thehippo, I don't think CC is going to place a button/link for every player that wants to avoid 2 clicks. Yes, it is annoying to have to make 2 clicks when a button could do it in one, but it also clutters up the screen for the players who more often either advance all or advance more than 0 but less than all.
I'm not sure I see the need for this extra button.

I think the need lies in trying to create a friendlier interface for phone and tablet users. The real solution to that would be to create a mobile app/interface for those who play on those devices. However, this would be a convenient stop-gap.
