The bad luk of dices!
I hate, when I can win a game, to have always bad dices ! My result is a 5 vs 1 army loose. why why why this system is always against me ! I attack with 20 armies vs 5, i loose 15 armies... 10 vs 3, I loose all... 4 vs 1, I can't win... how can I make good strategy if I loose all my attack ?

Re: The bad luk of dices!
yeah man, not much you can do. just bad luck. i've had heaps of times where that happens. Then you get the other times when you attack 15 v 12 and win every one.
But it is damn frustrating when they go against you!!!!!

It happens to everyone, and sooner or later, your dice will even out.
I've won a 6v15.
And saw a guy loose a 5v1, 5v1, 5v1 all in a row
I've heard of a 42v2 losing, i've seen a 11v1 lose. The dice are random, and thats what happens when they are random, they tend to get streaky. That's why you don't Auto-Assault

strategy! forget strategy, here dices dictate strategy.
In old time some player become farmers, and these whas best strategy to win a game without big help of dices, because new player whas confused, and dont know how to play, and this is only strategy who can reduce interference of dices.
Re: The bad luk of dices!
Do not auto assault when dice r bad.
Also if you buy premium you get the next tier of dice.

i just lost a 14 v 3... it was early in the game and was cruising along quite nice and lost that and there goes the game... thanks for the advice on not using auto-assault. i'll start using that.

Re: The bad luk of dices!
You'd better check that if you don't autoassault, do you still keep on clicking until your last troop is gone? If you do that, the end result is the same. Who has ever done that?
Re: The bad luk of dices!
haha, yeah that defeats the purpose i guess. luckily i haven't, been leaving a few guys to defend the fort
Re: The bad luk of dices!
I have a quick question: Does the good and bad luck even out at the end of the day? I just did my first turn and... well it wasn't that good that's all I'll say.

Not even close. The first few months I played I was way behind on the expected rolls I should have been getting. Now it's slowly starting to work it's way up.
Re: The bad luk of dices!
I have to say that this game is far from statistically sensible.
Anyone ever play a real game? What kind of streaks exist?
Reality doesn't show for one reason: the randomizer is flawed.
I suggest the game reinvent their randomizer to be a little more realistic. It's very unlikely for someone to outroll someone, with 1 dice, 10 times (it's happened to me) who is using 3 dice.

Well, you can say that in the Suggestions thread, but that sounds quite complicated and may not come true...
Actually, now that I've taken a few turns, I'd have to say that it isn't half bad. Maybe I should wait until I have a larger force before launching large assualts though...

Wow. Got a screenshot of that? Because it would be quite a pity if what you said was UTTERLY WORTHLESS because you had nothing but anecdotal evidence to back it up.
Strudel, it might not come immediately, and it might not even come by the time you finish a battle or two, but after you've played a few simple maps all the way through, the dice will, in all likelihood, be closer to 52% or so win rate, which is the probability. You can get Dice Analyzer, a browser add-on, and see for yourself.
It's also important to know Murphy's Law. You remember all the times you've failed more than you remember the successes.
Stick to simpler settings and maps, use your logic, and don't rely on 2v1, 3v2, 5v3, etc.
No Spoils games might be best for this, because you don't lose out by not taking a territory each turn.

Re: The bad luk of dices!
Dice of CC use random numbers generated by Random.ORG which uses atmospheric noise to generate truly random numbers.
The dice are random. This means they are unpredictable. They can be bad or good, previous rolls do not affect it.
Statistics only come in play when you do thousands of rolls. In the short run, you might have streaks of bad or good dice, but it all evens out in the long run.

You say very unlikely, but that still mean there is a chance. I don't feel like doing math, so say to lose X number of rolls happens 1 out of every 500 000 times. well, consider how many players there are on this site, taking their turns, rolling the dice, it's going to happen more often then you think.

Re: The bad luk of dices!
The other reason people seem to remember bad rolls is that generally players don't attack "against the odds" - ie. attack 4v12, 5v18 etc when statistically there is a (admittedly vastly small) chance of these succeeding. This means they only experience bad losing streaks because they're not even giving the dice a chance to have a "bad" winning streak.

Now that makes sense. Almost as much as wering lead belts to swim better.
Re: The bad luk of dices!
Fun fact: streaks are present in truly random number sequences.

Re: The bad luk of dices!
yesterday a guy in my game said he lost 700vs200ish! that is a big fucking streak???!
U wanna bet we could throw real dice till forever and never lose this attack?

Well, if you round it down it's basically a 7vs2, which might be unlikely but by no means impossible (how did they get that may troops anyways?)

no its totally different. i did not do the math but loosing 7 vs 2 might have a probabilty of ~10%. loosing 700 vs 200 might be around 0,0..(some more zeros)..01% because dice average out.
I hardly believe 700 vs 200 loss ever happened. But nothing is impossible...

I'll take that bet! Nobody can throw dice forever...

nice thought, and even if it could be done, you would never have to pay up .
