Wheel of Fortune sucks

I am old enough that I remember when contestants used to "spend" their prize money in themed rooms ("outdoors" with jet skis, "living room" with couches, etc.).

Now, admittedly, the show has ALWAYS played second fiddle to Jeopardy. Whatever. The reason it sucks now is that THEY NEVER SHOW THE FUCKING BOARD!!!! I don't give two shits what the contestants' reactions are to the wheel; just let me see the goddamned board so I can solve it before they do and feel good about life in general. It's like the producers decided, "Hey, you know what? We should bring in stupid contestants, so the show lasts fewer rounds, and then never show the board so the idiots solve it before the non-mouthbreathers at home."

How do they put together some of those answers. My gf and I like to watch it high but sometimes the before and after or other puzzle answers seem like they threw some words together.
