Letting time run out

Post by Vinpod »

I think we should have an option that you lose troops if you don't take a turn. There are players that I believe do not take their regular turn so they will recieve double or triple troops when they take their turn. They also hid their stratigy and delay the game for everyone.

That's just a stupid and crappy strategy. You don't get any more troops that way, and when missing the turn you give your opponent the opportunity to attack & break you.

Foe and move on.

And potentially miss out on cards.

It's a common strategy on spoils too. It relies on the other players not attacking you but in the games I've been in this strategy has been fine. The vast majority of players do not attack a player that misses a turn even if they hold a bonus.

The cards wont matter for the first couple of rounds - particular if players use the +4, +6 etc to attack the perceived threats.

In my opinion, it shouldn't, but definitely can, be used to your advantage depending on the other players.

then if they loose it would be there fault, because they had been given a chance...

and if they cant break the bonus(maybe too much troops or too far) then it would be stupid to loose the turn, the same effect would be taking your turn and just stack your troops, and thats better that missing the turn, because when you feel to attack you just attack and would take people by surprised...but if you want to attack with the missing turn strategy then you need one round to stack the troops and other to do the attack and people can prepare a defense

Why do players who miss there turn get to go first in the next round? When players who took there turn in the time allotted have to wait until the dead beats take there turn before they can take there turn. After all a player who misses his turn intentualy may gain a straguic advantage over his opponent who has taken all of his turns in the time allotted. I have seen many players take advantage of this loop clause in cc.
Players who miss there turn should be considered the last player to take there turn.
