Could they have chosen two more uninteresting figures to sit behind Obama than Biden and Pelosi? Seriously, it looks like theyre falling asleep/dying with each new point brought up... I guess thats how they get people to focus on O...

You still haven't demonstrated you know anything about inner city schools other than that your taxes are used to fund them. I don't think you require a legitimate response because your opinions are not legitimate.

I know how to read an annual progress report....
I guess you are drunk, but are you really making the case that inner city schools are a success?
Overall, a pretty good speech, and much closer to the center than everything else since he's taken office. I saw some more focus on terrorism as well as incentives for small businesses, which are both good things. I don't agree with many ideas presented in the speech because they are government-driven plans, but that's to be expected in a State of the Union address. The best line was making fun of his focus on health care as obviously not being beneficial to his political ratings.
I derived distinct pleasure watching Chris "Weasel" Dodd squirm at several key points. I am looking forward to the internet providing .gifs of it.

He is trying to appear centrist. We all know what is coming. More of the same leftist agenda.

he was one of the people in the front calling for glass-stegal to be repealed in 1999
Great speech, loved the humour. Can't be bothered going into too much detail, but how pathetic was the GOP response. Can they not find anyone who can reply with some style, or even with some substance? Jindal last year (not technically state of the union, but w/e), and this guy now.
