SPOILS USAGE
How it it that a player can use 2 lots of spoils in the same turn?
Dont you have to End the turn to get a spoil? ..so if you have 5 spoils at the beginning of a turn you can effectivly win the game on that turn...can't figure this out.

yes you do however saying that also when you elimante somewone you get there cards so lets say u have 5 cards you trade in now you have 2 then you elimante someone who has 5 cards you now have 7 which promps you to trad in again cause you can only have 5 cards at most in your hand. understand?

Anytime you have 5 or more spoils, you have to cash. So if you eliminate someone and take their spoils, and you now have 5 or more spoils, you are forced to cash to have less than 5 again. This is what's known as a mid-turn cash. Keep in mind you are only able to cash mid-turn with 5 or more spoils, so if an elimination gives you 4 total, you won't be able to cash mid-turn, even if you have a set. If your elimination gives you 6 or more spoils, it is possible that you could cash 2 sets in the same mid-turn cash.

After a player turns in one set of spoils, if they can eliminate another player and the spoils they take from that player plus their own remaining spoils adds up to more that 5 spoils, the game makes you turn in another set, redeploy, and begin their turn all over again, in a way.
I'll give an example, in case I'm not being clear enough.
Lets say that the red player has five spoils with one set and the green player has 4 spoils with no set. Red starts his/her turn and turns in a group of spoils, leaving 2 spoils unused. In the same turn, they eliminate green. Red gets green's 4 spoils and now has 6 spoils total. Because a single player cannot have more than 5 spoils at once, the game allows red to turn in another set.

Re: SPOILS USAGE
It's the most fun when you have 4 spoils and you eliminate someone with 5 spoils and then cash 3 sets at midturn...

It's even more fun if in a freestyle you have 4 spoils, you eliminate a guy that was playing at the same time. He had 4 spoils, eliminated a guy that had 4 spoils, who co-incidentally had 4 of his own and just eliminated another player who also had 4 cards but who was just about to cash in when he got eliminated. And I eliminated that guy and took all 16 cards, before he could turn them in. I had 20 cards...true story i swear!

Re: SPOILS USAGE
how exactly spoils works? I play one game with spoils and I HAVE spoils BUT I AM NOT OWNER of them. and in each turn I have different spoils.
are games with spoils more popular or better as no spoils games?
thanks.

Re: SPOILS USAGE
Spoils can be cashed for more troops if you have 3 of the same colour of 3 of all different colours. In flat rate spoils you get: 4 for red spoils, 6 for green, 8 for blue, and 10 for mixed colours. In escalating all spoil sets give the same, but the amount increases after each cash. In nuclear spoils, you don't get troops, but instead the spoil territories are nuked, meaning they get bombarded into neutral 1:s.
Whether you own the territory of the spoils doesn't matter (except in nuclear games) but if you own the territory when you cash the set, you get 2 troops deployed on that territory. In addition to the troops you gain from cashing the set of spoils.

Re: SPOILS USAGE
thanks natty_dread.
I have several questions:
1, when I create map (game) must I define which regions are spoils?
2, must I define their colour?
3, how much spoils could be on map?
thanks

Re: SPOILS USAGE
two more, I hope last, questions.
1, when I do not must define which regions are spoils, could I do this? so only defined regions will be spoils?
2, could be spoils from one group only? or can I have any special regions which could player change for units (if player have tree or more of them?)
thanks.

Re: SPOILS USAGE
Spoils cannot be affected in the map xml in any way. You always get a random spoil if you conquer at least 1 territory during your turn. The colour of the spoil is random, the territory of the spoil is also random - two people can even have the same territory on their spoils.

Re: SPOILS USAGE
Nope. You can have regions which give troops if you hold them, or regions that turn to neutral when you hold them, but not both ways.
