Re: How to Participate in 4th Anniversary Battle Royales
So, just to recap:
1. the starting neutrals bug was never worked out, thus ensuring games that would run the gamut from interesting (Cairns Metro) to the entertaining (WWII Europe, Iraq) to the completely insane (Supermax) cannot be played, leaving us with yet more of the same ole' classic/doodle/midgard/etc.
2. the BR tool doesn't allow for standard, even tho last year a couple of standard games were created by accident... so I guess that's one bug that was indeed fixed. And while standard games would certainly have their issues, it might be a nice change of pace for those of us that can't cash, drop, and make 3 attacks within the span of two seconds.
3. the BR tool wasn't expanded to allow for different game types, like teams. Imagine a Classic BR with 21 dubs teams slugging it out. That might've been fun.
4. so many games have been created that BRs are just sitting there, hours after creation, with only a handful of players, thus kinda cheapening the whole thing
5. instead of, y'know, actually sorting out some of the other outstanding issues (people joining a bunch at a time, new recruits joining as their first game, insane round length), said issues were pretty much ignored
The upshot: a completely unchanged, and arguably less interesting, experience from the last two CC anniversaries. When the only difference between these games and ones played two years ago are the maps available (and not even that significantly, as noted above), it really says something.
I'm sorry to be the turd in the punchbowl, but that's pretty disappointing, guys.

I see what you mean,i just look what game is created, and very small maps is availabile, most of games is on doodle earth.
Re: How to Participate in 4th Anniversary Battle Royales
SO what do you want then? The games that didn't fill did so because of lack of interest. 2 maps picked had decay so I'm not surprised. I've never played in a BR until today. And I'm thankful for that experience. So what are you looking for then?

I would suggest a World 2.1 but it doesn't look as though it would fill... another Nuke one, maybe Luxembourg?
