Re: New classic Revamp?

Rail maps are really confusing because there are three territories in a station and no one - except BOB users - have any idea which attacks which and where; plus, all the damn territories are identified by three letters, which is beyond confusing.

I've never used BOB and I have absolutely no trouble understanding any of the rail maps.

Perhaps you're just not that smart... ;)

Gorgeous map, a work of art.

If people are having trouble deciphering that two things are connected when there is a blatantly obvious line connecting them, then perhaps CC (...and a good deal of other simple tasks) just aren't for those individuals.

I recommend this for starters, though it may be a bit much.

Well done, Sully, one of the best looking maps by far.

You're kidding right?
THere is a distinct difference between a block in which things touch and are adjascent to it, and squigly lines going in random directions.
Manilla in this map is an excellent example of this
It looks like it should touch jakarta, but it doesnt
And how the hell does it get to novibersk?
This is why I dont' play rail maps.
But all of that is void

This should have been introduced as a new map
Not a replacement for classic art/shapes

When people joined those maps last week/last month, they joined THOSE MAPS, to play THOSE MAPS
You can't change the whole feel of a map midway through a game

Bad move CC

I for one will not be playing this new map, ever once I'm done w/ this current stock.

and LGOA before you go insulting everyone who doesn't like this, maybe CC isn't for you since you seem to be stuck a diamond.

Lucy has a point though, you're behaving like a spoilt baby. This map is a brilliant step into the future for CC with the terrible eyesore classic shapes now gone. It is nothing like a Rail map, which also is a fine collection of maps anyway, and is easy for even a 5 year old to understand. If you don't want to play it thats fine, but theres no reason to spam your whinging and aggression all over the forums just because you are in the small minority.

All right dude,
I dont' understand why you can't get this

I dont' play LINE MAPS

I play maps that have adjacent territories.

SO instituting this in the middle of games is a bad move.

Very simple.

I was plenty content with my 2900 points until I wanted medals, smartass.

There's nothing 'random' about the lines. They connect circles, with names within their immediate vicinity, in an incredibly obvious fashion. If you can't figure out that two circles are connected by a line don't play the map. Months of work were put into it, it looks beautiful, has receives zounds of approval, and your little hissy fit because you're incapable of putting two and two together will go entirely unheard and unconsidered.

Such a nice looking map, but YET AGAIN, they manage to screw it up....none of you took a business course hey?

First off, WHY change the map without warning, in the middle of the games?
What you shouldve done, to build up interest and excitement + have a smoother transition, is to announce a month before or so that the map was coming and have a preview of it.... You acted like rookies on that, getting used to that.

A year of work to get a map with lines everywhere (my eyes!!) and NO BORDERS???
Damn, ive played this map a lot and it confuses me...how will new players feel?? Speacially with the new names
Most of them simply deadbeated their first games when they joined and the map was clear and simple, a lot more will deadbeat now that they cant see where the bonuses belong. Just what we need, more effin deadbeats.

Every time there's a chnage (and there's a lot) this site dies a little.STOP CHANGING STUFF AND WORK ON THE ISSUES THAT ALREADY EXIST.

Oh, and now we cant play the other maps that were shoved down our throats but we got used to it and now, again, we get shoved down our throats and need to reajust again. I guess your programming skills are too weak to simply let the user choose, after the game started, which map they wants to see when playing classic. Im sure your skills are fine but maybve it's the IQ or laziness or "lack" of perfeyionism or that customers dont matter or all of them.

Anyways, constructive criticism here, not that it matters, cuz you wont listen.

NB: PLEASE, DO N OT CHANGE A THING FOR AT LEAST A MONTH...but we all know you will alter the new map, then you'll find something else tofiddle with, and make many unhappy.

NO

It's a completely different map (and before you say "it's the same map" ... I mean the style of map); when you introduce a new map you put it in BETA then it plays alongside the other maps that are similar.

Slow down a bit. The map is pretty good once you let the new layout sink in.

I'm getting a good laugh out of this one. They changed a map skin, so obviously they don't know how to run a business. Well done.

I agree, the lack of borders is disconcerting and the lines make my eyes go wonky, even if the map has a certain aesthetic appeal.

As to your concern about new players, new players get to join the Society of Cooks; those people who are members of SoC get to see the "Shapes" layout overlayed on the new map to help them with terr names.

Hey, it could be worse.

He could have made the map all in black and white and put the territory names in morse code or braille!

So be happy for what you've got!

It's excellent, I think. It's probably the best "classic" map I have ever seen, including the hasbro version.
