The update has gone live.

The starting values will not be changed on games that were already started before the update, but the new bonus values will affect all games.

Small thing, but the "EC revert to 4 neutral" bit of instructions in the upper left-hand corner should prolly change to reflect the new neutral value.

Make sure MrBenn knows: the Browse Maps screen still pops up the version with 4 neutrals on E.C.

It's Christmas season ... and while you are enjoying your favorite beverage at some cafe or someplace ... give this a thought ... since the forum for your other maps particularly the Napoleon one is locked during this holiday season :)

So as regards the Napoleon Map:
In 1813, Napoleon lost war against Russia, "the Illyrian Provinces" collapsed and came under Austrian rule. Officially there were given to Austria in 1815.

During the years of French ruling in Croatian-Slovenian parts, Croatians served in many French military formations. Napoleon was one of many rulers that were fascinated by Croatian war skills, he said to General Marmont: "I never had more braver and better soldiers". Napoleon also said this: "Croatians, there are best soldiers in the world. If I had only 100000 Croatians, I would conquer the entire world!". (http://www.vojska.net/eng/history/france/napoleon/)

My point is maybe ... just maybe ... create a victory condition such that if a player gets 100 K Croatian soldiers ... well ... he rules the world ... I'm just joking around here... sorry if some jeolous player jumps all over this one and twists it to deter from the main point of adding constructively to your map theme ... keep up the fantastic work m8 :)

I have just come here to liven it up a little ... LOL ...

and Merry Christmas to all :)

Game 6115103
we are playing a doubles game on this map and we are NOT RECEIVING THE BONUS FOR Saladins Dominions + Damascus Territory.
We are supposed to received a +3 bonus for SD and +3 with Damascus Territory. We have held this for over 3 rounds and have never received the bonus armies/

As I see it now, Alexandria, one of Saladin's Dominions, is not held by either of you, it is neutral.

For starters, love the map Kaba. That being said maybe the fact that The English Channel is a killer neutral should be placed in the key and not way off in the corner. Many do not see it up there.

Hi NP. Thanks!

Well, my feeling is that the legend board is quite overcrowded already, so positioning that piece of info (and abbreviation legend) near the location on map makes it more direct.

One of my favorites. Only thing is that there should be some more bonuses for the other 2 muslim territories. You get a Muslim bonus for up to 5 of their symbols but theres 7 of them so if you have more then 5 you are just taking them from your enemy, victory condition, or just to have another territory. And one other problem is Wales should have about 3 men. Theres not much need to have the British starting player spend on average 5 to 6 men for a bonus of 1 army per turn. It opens up the 2 bonus for Cyprus but it still should include fewer men. All in all though i really like it. Just those two minor problems and i'd say its ready to come out of Beta.

Thanks Lux! :)

Jman thanks for your input, indeed 7 Muslim bonuses for a maximum combination of 5 – I wouldn’t want those bonuses to become overrated. As for Wales, that was widely discussed before and lots of arguments were put on the table leaving the actual status as the best option - we don’t want to make England starting position too advantageous.

.. although it´s more than a little weird that Cairo is located on the Sinai peninsula. :?

I see the big map has been corrected now so that the city of cairo roughly is on the border between cairo and alexandria territories.
This is a good improvement, but it looks like you only fixed it on the big map?

The small map still has the real location of cairo as part of the alexandria territory.

Can someone confirm if victory is achieved as soon as a player holds the territories defined in the victory conditions OR does the player need to hold those territories for one turn and then win the game at the start of their next turn?

Thanks

You need to hold them for one full turn.
