mpjh - let's talk as a moderator first:

- What is the benefit to this site of this debate? Does this help conquerclub achieve it's stated goals and fulfil your role as a moderator on this site?
- Whether you like it or not you have a responsibility to behave well in public fora. Crowing about another site's demise is not behaving well.
- Having made the initial mistake wouldn't it be a good idea to take a step back and reassess your approach to this discussion. You are a representative of ConquerClub and by continuing in this fashion you are harming CC's image and reputation.
- As other people have pointed out, your job is to be a role model for new players on this site - by behaving this way you are sending a message that it is ok for others to do the same. Do you want new recruits posting immature gloating threads?
- Having banned people from this site, as a moderator why would you choose to provoke them? If they are bad enough to get permanent bans they may well choose to attack the site in other ways and all responsibility for that would now fall on your shoulders.
- By refusing to enter into a civil discussion with jiminski you are letting down CC's entire team. Andy spent a long time and put a lot of effort into building bridges with the community here - a few stupid threads like this will destroy all that hard work. Is this your aim?

I visited PoA about twice. I never joined as I was trying to cut down my time on the forums. most of the people there I got on with so that was not the reason for not joining. I just didn't want to spend more time on another site and then have to log-on to this site to play my games. it's a shame that most of them have been banned from here as this use to be a very good site.

now you'll say why do I still come onto these forums, because I can and still play the game. I get on with quite a few people still in these forums aswell.

Jonsey, see you've casted from you ivory tower again. As far as I know, from my lurking at poa, B.K. is not permanently banned and he probably will return. At least I hope he does. He will not appreciate the comparision to me, although he undoubtedly will be proud to be placed in the geezer column.

I quite liked some of the threads I read in POA...it was nice to see chaos and prowler going at it again, I missed their crazy shit from the flamewars days.

If someone with a heart wants to pm me the new site address, I would enjoy lurking there as much as I enjoyed lurking flamewars and on occasion POA.

Mpjh misses the important point IMO. The website is irrelevent. There were some great writers in POA and they'll continue to write well wherever they choose to write. Those that read their shit or even take them on will enjoy the experience.

So there really is no reason to gloat.
