Agreed. I even typed in the game chat of his active game for this tourney about a week ago and no one responded to it, even though they are all taking their turns.
Unfortunately, it's pretty evident by now that several reasons prevent me from continuing the tournament at this moment. The first one being the crash that destroyed all the data in my hard drive and the other ones being having limited time and thus making it difficult to dedicate the needed time reconstruct all the standings.
I really would like to continue the tournament, but I don't know exactly when this will be possible. Of course, this is ASAP, but ASAP is enough vague and imprecise to mean almost any period of time.
So we have two options here.
First, to wait until the data is reconstructed and I can continue the tournament. The approach to this option would be, having patience while I reconstruct all the standings. Some of them are reconstructed. But others are not yet. This process would not begin until November 16th, and would be probably slow. To give visibility to the process, I would post the current state here. Something like "Groups 1 to b updated. Groups b+1 to 32 waiting to be updated". After that, the tournament would continue more or less like before, with updates in groups of 8.
Second options would be to handle the tournament to someone else. I would send the Excel file (I recreated it but did not put all the data inside) and that person would take care from that moment. I have one offer, but I would like to know what you think about it, and also to double check if that person is still willing to do it.
I don't mind to wait a while, as long as things are clear. Just no answers or updates make players doubt about it.
I don't have time to help you with the complete tournament, maybe it's an idea to have 1 assistent per group who keeps the score. If you put your sheets online by (i.e.) google docs like I did in my tournament you can protect them with a password and you also have a back-up in case of future crashes. ( I had a crash a few months ago, tournament went on cause sheets were online ) For an example see http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key= ... utput=html , if you do it like these I would help you in group 7. I even want to help you to put all sheets online, PM me for my email.
Just think about it, 69C

However, until everything is "back to normal" I am am going to join into other games. So, I'll not be keeping a slot open until I am sure the tourney is back on track.
