free tournament on first sat

Post by Acropolis »

On the first Saturday in June (3rd) I will be holding a tournament for whomever wishes to play. I will only be taking 54 people in this tournament and they must first post on this messege to apply not to my mailbox please, lol, I'll pm you once you are accepted and to tell you your game # and password.

It will be a set up of three player classic maps, free style with double turns, unlimited fortification and escalating card format. This means it will be 18 games of three, then the winner of each of those will go onto the next round untill the end. The winners will be posted on this post along with who will be in each match and this is open to premium and non-premium members.

The top winning non-premium member will be awarded a premium account for a year paid by myself out of my own money but sadly all I can offer the premium members is braging rights. Hopefully I get a good turn out and if there are not enough players willing to join then it will be moved back to the following saturday and so on untill enough players have joined. Good luck and wind to thy wings o warriors of conquer club.

well, thanks I guess, but my real hope is to have the people I enjoy playing join the tournament and I think that if a person is good enough to win against these odds then they deserve it. I can't ask for a free membership and so I am willing to fork over a few bucks to get some more experienced players who either can't afford a membership or new players who show a lot of promise to play against. I'm not the best player obviously, but I enjoy playing people who are and I really enjoy watching battles where there is something on the line, it makes everybody play to their fullest potential.

I could do that, but I would have to get the site's permission to pay now for a year after the member's current year ended, if they agree then yes I'll change it for the top player in each, premium and non to get a year membership, but that's the end of my budget for now, lol, and I better see some really good battles for it.

Good call. I'm in either way though, if only for the bragging rights!

I'm in, although I don't usually play escalating so my odds probably aren't very good. I have premium but if I win I'd rather have you buy someone else premium than give me another year (probably one of my non-premium doubles partners), if that would work.

what you do with your winnings is up to you, if you wish to donate it to someone else then that's fine, as long as they play in the tournament I have no problem with the idea. But that's only if you win.

I don't know if I'll be able to access the internet then... But I would love to join.

Seems though like it will be too much of a task to organize that many people for real-time games in one day.

I understand, I would prefer real time games, but if it ends up not being possible then we will go from there. And so far the tourn. consistes of the following players: AK_iceman, HighBorn, Andrew0, Carmoil, Resitnecdan, and Riyanna.

I would like to join.

Edit - Will it be real time? that might be a little problem as Saturdays are usually "honey do days"

Welcome to the tourney and it will most likly not be real time unless all the players in a match agree, so no worries in that respect. I hope you enjoy the battles to come and good luck.

okay, that's three more players entered in the tourny. From this response we should have enough players by game time.
