Armenia Map

Post by Levon II »

Armenia:
Image

Includes 21 countries, 11 bonus regions

I hope to make Yerevan a city as well as a bonus region which will provide with the largest number of armies. Partly because of the difficulty of maintaining it (it is in the center of the map) and also because it is the capital of Armenia. Also, Yeghagnadzor and Ashtarak should provide the least number of bonus armies because they contain only 1 city and and unlike Yerevan, are more "to the side".

Also, regarding the pixels, could somebody enlighten me on how to set the proper pixel dimensions using photoshop? I have no clue how.

Interesting idea. I'll do some research and see if I can find enough data and maps to be able to do Turkey + the three caucasus countries (Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan).

Ok, I'm thinking I may be able to make a map of the Caucasia region but probably not Turkey because that would include too many individual regions for me to deal with. Now I'm just trying to figure out how to compress the 30+ districts within Azerbaijan onto a map without losing accuracy or anything like that.

If u wanted to include Turkey, you could just include the eastern half of it (see hokkaido in the Japan map).

Why not focus on an Armenian map but divide it in more territories? You could have 36 territories for example.

Including the Nagorno-Karabakh region with Armenia could be an idea to add more territories.

Well, with the Caucasia map I'm thinking of, it would include Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) as well as the other countries. So I'm going to try that first, it'd be interesting to play if I succeed. :)

Also, I want to maintain accuracy in terms of territory boundaries, names, and so on. I think it adds something extra to the game.

Oh, and I'm planning on using province/districts as the boundaries within each country in the Caucasus, with the country itself being a bonus region. Also, Adding only a part of Turkey sounds good. I might do the same for Azerbaijan to reduce the number of districts.

Okay I am sure that could work. I just felt for a while that a country so much rich in history and culture like Armenia deserved to have a map for itself but I guess I am being a bit romantic...

That's a bad idea. Whoever goes first wins, because he'll start with two or three bonuses and knock out everybody else's bonuses.

Yeah, I'm most likely not going to make an Armenian map. I'm going for the Caucasus map instead
