Andy's Comment

Post by AndyDufresne »

This is never coming back. ;)

And if you don't like waiting to die in a game, premium membership is rather cheap. :)

This idea could be considered, but Lack most likely won't get around to even categorizing this for a while...

i would love an abandon game option.
it's especially usefull for games where people simply quit.
i'm a very active person and i love risk. my job allows me to be online a lot so i want to play as many games as possible. but with only four game slots i have to wait days to finish a game. i don't care about the scores i just want to have fun so even if abandoning a game gives you some negative scores i don't really care.
now i would consider buying a platinum membership to avoid this situation but after many years of internet gaming i decided i will only invest real money only after i've played the game for at least a month (it sometimes happend to get bored and lose my investment).

Sorry Picard but as much as I'd like to have a surrender button, I think the monkey is right. If you dont want to wait for your game to end, just get a premium. Besides, you'll help fund the site, I mean, they can't do this stuff for free.

If someone surrenders they still give up their points and the winner still gets them. All this does is speed up the inevitable.
It could also be used as an easy trap to find multis.

SURRENDER BUTTON NEEDED FOR RT GAMES

Post by hulmey »

i used to play rt alot....But coz of work havent been able to. Today i chilled at home and started 6 RT games, 5 0f them left. Its so f***** annoying.

In one of them games the guy started suciding so he could leave. WE need a SURRENDER BUTTON. Players armies turn to neutrel and cards go back in the pot.

Im only suggesting this for RT Premium Games. Anbody agree or disagree???

Suggestion

Post by Vaati »

I know that there are neutral players that sometime take the field. Is it possible to make a way to drop out of the game? Perhaps if you do, all your territories become controlled by neutral players. You might join a game by accident or may want to leave, and if you just stop playing, you must wait a day at every turn, which can really annoy people. I think this would help some people.

once eons ago on a conquerclub very different from the one we all know and love today there was a resign button. BUT this caused so many problems that it had to be removed. I am sure that if you ask lack or another vetaran nicely they can list all the details but for right now all you need to now is this. The powers that be (lack, mod squad, etc) know what they are doing. They know what works on this site and what doesn't. And if you try to meddle with the site too much the great dice gods will smite with a string of bad luck. So go about your non-hasbro affiliated risk with a easy mind. Don't worry about how the site is run, older more experienced people are in charge. Sleep easy young one.

Now take your mind control pills and decide to get premium memberships on this great site for everyone you know.

I meddle plenty and I haven't been banned… yet. In fact, I hope to never see this Image

Anyway, the reason they don't have it anymore is because people abused it. When they were about to be taken out, they would quit, and nobody would get their cards. I don't know all the details, because I'm kinda new. Let's see what Andy has to say…

Here you go little monkey Image

Resign Button [Rejected]

Post by cougarfoxtrot »

I've been playing quite a bit of CC lately and occasionally find myself trapped in a pointless, mind numbing, painful game. I'm not the type to miss turns and deadbeat so I play through the pain. I would kill in these instances for a forfeit button - I'll concede the loss, give up the points, just let me out of the game. Also note I'm a premium member so this has nothing to do with the volume of games I can play at any one time... Anybody else think this would be a good option?

I'm not quite sure I would ever forfeit, but I would love to give the deadbeaters an option to forfiet the game before they decide to not come back!!!

Yeah, ever since I started posting here....

....oh, and I agree that we must never again have a surrender/forfeit button, because:

At best, if it were allowed, you would have to loose double the maximum number of points as you could've possibly lost in that game (determined by the "worst" of the other players -- like, at the time you surrender, the game would do all six point-loss calculations between you and each of the other players, and pick the lowest).

Uh....I think I hecter just passed out again....

suicide buttom

If you are in a game that is obviously going to end, there should be a terminate button.

All cards go back to the deck, countries go neutral, but the points still get deducted from you account when the game is finished...

Already been implimented, but it was abused. I think that maybe if it ended up neck and neck, it COULD work…
