its a 45" samsung HD
so here is what happens, the TV works perfectly at first, i mean its flawless. Then after 30-40 mins, the screen goes black, but its not off. I can hear the sound, i can see the back light, and its clearly on. but nothing is on the screen, something is causing all the pixels to turn off all of a sudden. Now we called a tech guy to check out the problem for $30 and he said it was the DMD board failing, and he would replace it for $80, on top of the $200 for a new board. Now before i go and drop absurd amounts of money on it i wanted an opinion from any techies out there, do you really think its an issue with the DMD, and if so does it really need to be replaced? because until we hit the 30-40 min mark its perfect in performance. I personally think that something is overheating and causing the failure, which is why it takes time to fail instead of failing from the start.
