No, that would defy the law of gravity. It may not fall down, but it will trickle.

I think it's going to be a bit longer than an eclipse. Actually the verse goes, "The sun will be darkened and the moon will not give its light".

How do we know it's the sky falling, and not just us falling...toward the sky? :-s

Pick one, they all say about the same thing. Revelation 9:2 .

RSV - "he opened the shaft of the bottomless pit, and from the shaft rose smoke like the smoke of a great furnace, and the sun and the air were darkened with the smoke from the shaft"

Revelation 9:2

Where's the moon? Sounds like a sexual innuendo to me.

So it's overcast and a new moon. Got it.

there are about 1000 other religions that interpret it slightly different.

Those are the actual facts. If you did happen to stumble on the right one, and are one of the lucky ones that got informed about the Correct God...kudos...however...I wouldnt gloat in that too much....if hes as Good as you say he is...Ill bet he frowns on that sort of thing.

In case you are wondering which religeon has it right and get's to go to heaven.....it's the Mormons. Mormon is the correct answer

A "religion" does not grant you access to heaven. It's your relationship with Jesus Christ. There may be people from many different "religions" in heaven. The one thing that they will all have in common, is that they will all have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

The debate is over.....

So all those good people faithfully worshiping their god or gods, and that werent lucky enough to learn about jesus... just a little "too bad" and a kick in the pants. Sorry, I might not fully believe in God, but I surely believe a God of Good would have set up a system infinitely more fair than that. The one you've described too much resembles some man-concocted rules to exert power over people.

And, clearly by the debate is over, you mean, youve made up and closed your mind to all other possibilities no matter what. That doesnt end the debate...just your chance at possible enlightenment...and once again...I know enough about God to know if hes actually there, your actions will matter far more than your petty thanks and offerings. Jesus himself only cared about people treating other people well...whether they believed in him or not. Ill go out on a limb and bet they dont care squat about suck ups.

For a God of Good, with no ego or human weaknesses to only care about being accepted as his main requisite for entry into his kingdom, means he is not really a god of good, or your idea of his wishes have been somewhat misrepresented and interpreted. Now the debate on that is over. Thats simple logic.

That would make us demigods who play around with the lesser beings that live on various worlds within this universe. A rather thrilling concept if I may say so.

Isn't the sky always falling since it is undergoing a 9.8 m/s/s accelleration in the direction of the earth?

If the air is darkened, you can be assured you will not see the sky or the moon. Likewise, if the sky is darkened, you will not see the air or moon. Obviously the smoke from the "bottomless pit" will block out the sun, moon, sky and air. Now, stop wasting time and make sure your flashlight has new batteries in it! ;)

God is good. What you or I deem the definition of "good" is irrelevant. You can't put God in a nice little box consisting of what you think He should be. If you want to know God and His goodness, you can. Read up on him via the Bible.

"Jesus himself only cared about people treating other people well...whether they believed in him or not." I'd have to disagree here. Our deeds are like filthy rags in the sight of God. To love one another is the GREATEST commandment, not the ONLY commandment.

Jesus christ, jay! How many times can a debate be "over", before you stop talking about your narrow views?
