Realtime games for Premiums only
Just tossing out a thought. What of featuring RT games for premium users only? Seems that a lot of the multi accounts are only interested in RT games because they can get in real quick and this would seem to be a nice stop-gap for that. Any thoughts on this? I apologize if this has been suggested before.

I vote realtime for everyone.
thats cause you cant really regulate what is realtime and whats not realtime. where would you set the limit (and what would that limit be) to determine what is realtme and what isnt.
Why dont you just make a private game, then PM people the pw and make that game realtime?

I little more expansion on this:
I recon just like if you are to buy prem you are aloud to put pass's on games you should be able to change time settings, this would give another reason to buy prem and would stop 98% of cheaters from getting quick points( 98% becuase of the recent busts - Jtk)
I think also this give a better incentive to your players lack, if you help fund and keep the site alive then you get rewarded with extra features, i mean i only bought prem because i love this site and wanted to help fund you in bettering the site for all and of corse more games
I think once lack and co sort out the boundry setting for a "rt" only game, then this def should be the way to go, nice thinking Fp.

I don't have all the answers and I haven't thought it all the way through, but it seems to me that there would be an enforcement of a time-gap between the last turn someone took and the time that a non-premium could take their turn. Really, 4 games is more or less a demo anyway in my view ... a small taste to whet the appetite for someone to give up a measly $20 and lose their life... I mean, this isn't MSN Checkers where you can just play with whomever. I dunno, still mulling it over, but wanted to hear opinions on the basic idea.

And Isnt the point to keep new players coming back?
Im waiting for my premium to be processed. How is it fair that I be punished?
you are waiting for your premium to be processed??? How is that. I entered my CC number one second, and the next second, I am a premium member. Doesn't take long

For me I think any incentive for joining cc's premium is an incentive worth having. So this is a good idea private games are a premium only feature why not make non-24 hour games an incentive too?
just my thinking is if people want to be able to make people leave after 10 minutes of not playing it should be an incentive.
Great thinking FP i'm starting to think you want to be payed for being a multi hunter

Incentives are good, yes... but that's what the game limit is for. Enforcing a time gap of some sort between the time the last person's turn ended and the time the next person can begin would definitely stop real-time games, but it would also have the effect of making games with non-premium players much slower, and therefore less desirable. Additionally, it would remove one of the items that motivates non-premiums to buy premium, namely: always having an extra slot for an rt. If a non-premium player wants to keep that extra slot open for rts, why stop them? I'm just not thrilled with the idea of an "improvement" that will make non-premium players so much less desirable in game, and that will wind up punishing premium players as well.

I think that FP means the real times that peoples turns are 5 minutes long are only available to premium and games which turns are 24 hours are an open prospect. For example if a game ran fast because all the players where online at one time get my meaning?
That is how I interpretted FPs post

my only thought is elitism?
not too seriously, but it popped into my mind.
so premis could make pw realtimes adn everyone could make normal rts?
i could settle for that

So the ability to actually make a Speed Game with real speed settings (I.E. like 20 minutes a turn) would be for Premium Members?
And free users still technically could set up standard 24 hour games, but play them like Speed Games, they just don't have the insurance that it will stay that way, due to lack of the Speed Setting?

Bingo! We have a winner. Entice them to plunk down the $20 with more lures than just "unlimited games"... make them work for it.

For what my vote is worth, I think a variable time setting for premium members will be a great incentive. You will be able to attract people who want to play the same time limit as you.
People can join 10 min games or 20 min games or 24 hour games. but like private password protected games you should pay for this option.
Non prem members can join these games as they can join private pw protected games, but can't have a choice of changing the setting from 24 hour games
