I win.
They're "taboo" because we take aversion to the train of thought that being black or Mexican = genetic predisposition for crime.

Has anyone seen the recent Newsweek cover (speaking of genetic disposition)? More importantly, has anyone read the recent Newsweek? There's a picture of a white baby with the headline "RACIST?" in big bold letters. Just curious what that's about (but not curious enough to buy Newsweek).
GabonX wrote:GabonX's two step plan to reduce the prisoner population:
1. Execute all murderers and rapists unless another country is willing to accept them as political refugees
2. Legalize all substances and free all prisoners who are incarcerated for possessing small amounts for personal use. Use of a substance should be considered a civil liberty and if a person would break the law as a result of use they should be prosecuted under that statute.
Executing people for rape may be a bit extreme but I personally see no problem with it. It's amazing how many people who are against capital punishment advocate it when a child has been raped.
Anyhow, if you kill another person you should not be allowed to strain society any further. I shouldn't be taxed to support the existence of murderers in a prison. Worse than this, more often than not they are freed and go on to kill again.
They should be executed. Problem solved.

I believe PLAYER posted the article in TRU.

It's about them not taking aversion to the train of thought that being white = genetic predisposition for racism.

Pardon my ignorance, but what is TRU?
Usergroup. I assumed you were in it for some reason.

Nice duck/dodge. Or could it be taboo because the results of these types of studies could offend someone other than whites?
Interesting the Newsweak story/study was conducted on 100% whites.

It wouldn't be taboo if people weren't scared that the media and idiots will tout the data as something it isn't. There are plenty of people who recognize there are differences between races, but the facts, as they stand now, show that they are extremely slight. It's clear that the perceived divides are mostly caused by other factors.

thegreekdog wrote:Actually, the Newsweek story reported on one study saying that, of the black students studied, approximately 15% of their friends were white.
But, yes, the story was 99% about white kids.
Just a quick note to add about the Newsweek stuff. I really wouldn't trust the studies. The samples are really small and very local, there's no control group in most of them, and the article doesn't really seem to follow the conclusions of the actual studies. I've got no opinion on whether the conclusions are true or not, but the studies in the article just don't show what the article claims they show.
Obviously. And as soon as one of you frootloops prove to me how it's genetically possible to be born with one character or personality trait and not another, I'll be admitting defeat.
So, did my link not prove that it is genetically possible? I didn't see your post admitting defeat?????

Wouldn't the most dangerous place be Somalia? The place where you ran out after actually trying to do something good.

Yeh Somalia was a disaster , Halliburton executives looked at every angle but just couldn't see a way to make any decent money there

If you're that old you should've retired sometime in the 1830s, at the absolutely latest.
