US Open - Doubles Congratulations to the winners - witt13 and dcc1220 The US Open tournament is part of the professional tennis tour and takes place from 31 August to September 13. It is one of many tennis tour tournaments being run.
Each round will be the best of 3 sets, played on the USA - New England map.
This is a Doubles tournament, with 8 teams (16 players in total). 2 slots are reserved for the finalists of the previous open doubles tournament (Wimbledon).
In this tournament, there are no restrictions on ranking of players etc. All players must join as a team.Premiums only (due to previous issues) - 3 games-at-a-time. Premiums - please feel free to lobby me to create a suitable alternative tournament.
Tournament Diagram show
Details: show
This will be a straight knock-out (bracket). All rounds will be best-of-three sets (games). Map and settings: USA - New England – doubles (obviously), sequential, no spoils, chained & fog of war.
Players show
There will be 16 players. In this tournament, there are no restrictions on ranking of players etc. Players must have a 97% attendance record, have played a minimum 25 matches, and not have dropped out from one of my tournaments previously! Freemiums welcome, although beware that the tournament starts as soon as we have enough players and 3-games-at-a-time if you get to the finals. Players will have 24 hours to join their matches from when the joining PM is sent. Failure to do so will result in a reserve being sought (harsh, I know).
Reserves show
All reserves will be sent a PM when an opening occurs. The first reserve to respond will gain a place.
Joining Matches show
Players will be informed when they have a match and will have 24 hours to join. If they fail to do so then they will be ejected from the tournament and a reserve will replace them.

[player]cowboyz[/player] & [player]DARCOGOAL[/player] have a few hours to announce if they will be taking up their reserved spot (as Wimbledon finalists). If not, then [player]quack[/player] & [player]abel[/player] are in. Apologies to anyone who didn't make it - I'll make the next open tournament bigger and give you a shout before it starts. [player]gannable[/player] - I'm not in this tournament - I'm happy to send you details of the next doubles tournament I am in though. [player]MSex[/player] - the settings - answer is under 'Details' in the first post: Map and settings: USA - New England – doubles (obviously), sequential, no spoils, chained & fog of war.

Looks like Laddida and Bruceswar will be moving on 3-0 this round. At least 2-1, but 3-0 likely.
